If they try to get him prior to June 30,it’ll either cost Manly/Penn,$$$ and we all know how cheap they are,or it’ll cost Manly a player that a) wants to leave or b) Tigers want and not sure there’s anyone they’d find enticing ot affordable for Manly to let go.Saab would be an option as the Tigers are light on on backs,but they just signed May and Saab’s longish contract could cause hurdles

Just because we have players currently on contracts like Brookes for example does not mean we can not find ways to diplomatically assist them and move them to other clubs
This has been done successfully with other clubs
We thank the player for their contribution and tell them that our playing style is changing and we are heading in a another direction and we would like to assist you in finding a club that is suitable for your needs . This would be more ideal than having you playing in our cup team

If by some miracle we land Da Silva and if does become the first choice hooker we could use Croker or Simpkin the no 14 as a ball playing lock much the same as other clubs use their 14 and bring them on once oppositions fatigue.

We should be doing that now with Croker and Simpkin now and when we rest a forward leave both croker and simpkin on the field for a while so we can get more attcking options.

Croker is done mate. He’s been a gutsy player but his body appears to have had enough. After yet another head knock at training the club should be saving him from himself like roosters have done previously. If we want a ball playing lock we have Jazz or Navale that can do it while also offering a lot more when it comes to hit ups. Simpkin definitely couldn’t handle playing at lock either.

Blake Brailey the marathon man averaging 80min a game.

Egan, Grant, Verrills and Kenny all average 75min plus so close enough.

Watson 73 but can play a bit of middle at times. Mahoney 72.
