When you are under media pressure about salary cap allegations it's important to refute bull**** I think it's a great stance from the club to be meeting the bs rumours head on

Well the club has flat out denied it so I can't see it happening... They wouldn't deny it so strongly if there was truth to it.

For the DT to lead with such a story means they heard it somewhere. Considering all the latest cap investigation and the leaks to the NRL/media regarding the front office issues.... makes me wonder if there was a purpose to it all.
Didn't this tactic get used by the Broncos boys when they ratted out Maguire for talking to his manager who was talking to the media?...

I see this as good news

No disrespect to Tagatese and he would make a decent signing, but will the salary cap situation and clubs offloading players we are best to see how it all plays out

I'd hate to be short on cap space or a squad position on a Klemmer type because we jumped the gun on a player that will likely still be available in a month or two
