I want to start by saying I know longer care what Foran decides but I can't see how his decision is so hard.
I have it on very good authority that things at Parra will get worse before it gets better. Can't say too much but this is only the start.
I've outlined a few more reasons for Foz to dodge the Eels below but I'm sure there are and will be more in the near future.
1. Parra has deceived Foz and for a guy who claims to hold integrity and honesty as important traits then surely he can now no longer trust them?
2. He has countless people who he trusts saying avoid Parra including family, friends & several respected football identities.
3. He allegedly wants to be coached by Brad Arthur but the coach is no certainty of keeping his job past this season. Saying he's safe is another lie by the current Eels board.
4. The clubs results are hardly enticing and neither are their future prospects with leading players upset about broken promises such as Peats and Hoppa.
5. He apparently feels sorry for Parra's position but is that a reason to literally throw your career away?
6. He claims to want a settled environment but couldn't go to a worse one than Parra.
7. Financially the Eels offer is great but it's clear they can't be trusted so how certain is the money?
8. The Eels offer wouldn't be a great deal more than other clubs but it would be a lot less secure.
9. He has the chance to continue one of the best halves combinations ever seen in the NRL with DCE & be tutored by Joey Johns.
10. Other details such as travel & less family time should also weigh in his decision.
Whatever Foz decides he'd be CRAZY to go to the Eels.
This rubbish about him going as he's a man of his word is tripe as the Eels have lied & deceived him so why now is he obligated to do the right thing by them.
Good luck with your decision Foz but it shouldn't be a difficult one.
God help you if you make the wrong one!
