Supposed "Crisis at Manly" Megathread

I noticed Manly's Holden Cup side just flogged the former 8th placed Warriors in NZ 36-20 sans Tom Terrific and have moved into the 8 after not losing a game for seven weeks. Could this explain the player's angst. There's a couple of young kids on the rise looking at their spot and they may be getting just a tad nervous

Lol just said that to a mate. We have seen great talent coming through the ranks.

Interesting to see DCE and Snake slap hands after Hiku's try, and also when Snake grounded the ball in goal after a Warriors knock on.

How bad can it be? Yes they are playing footy and they are professionals, but you'd kinda steer away from someone you apparently don't like.

Interesting to hear the Warriors commentators saying they aren't interested in Matai at all. What next for him? My guess will be Parramatta

didnt see Choc hi 5ing anyone 😉

I had a crises watching us fumble with the short kick offs :dodgy:
Plus I my 40/20 with a 13+ win was kyboshed by Killer :dodgy: 😛

Now lets make sure that Matai boards the plane home 🙂

Good news. The Tigers will be the story this week. MMM suggesting a senior player (who they named) is behind getting rid of Potter.

Snake had a quiet game. Obviously disinterested in the team. Just 2 try assists. #crisis

More disinterested than you think. He's only been credited with 1 try assist according to Supercoach!

What? Hopeless on their part then. His passes set up 2 tries today.

He did give the last pass, but I don't think that should always constitute a try assist.

I'm with you 100% on that. It is just in my view this time I thought it was Snake's quick passing in both cases that made the tries.

I'll agree with you there. Unfortunately for Snake because he made that skillful bit of play look so easy, the statisticians have just recorded it as just another pass at this stage. Hopefully a review will see him credited with it.

How do you like them apples?

All you neurotics and gossip-mongers...

No team fatally poisoned could have two gritty away wins (today and the Drags) when they're also in a comfortable spot on the ladder.

After upsets to the Rorters, Dogs and 'Riff, Manly could easily have gone on autopilot and lost today.

By all means deathride and discuss whispers, shadows and Bull Shyte ad nauseum.

Just stop to recognize and ENJOY the real ride too.

Toovey at presser "Let's not believe that those problems are as big as those reported in the media. They are professional players and they love their football and are a great team". https://www.nrl.com/rd-20-press-conference-sea-eagles/tabid/10959/contentid/671489/default.aspx

DCE interviewed after the game about why he thinks Manly have been so consistent this year:

'To be honest I think it's because the players are really playing for each other, no-one wants to let their teammate down".
