I'm ambivalent towards this guy ( and all bargain bin, red light specials other clubs are looking to offload mi season ) if he's cheap.

BUT you can get into trouble signing these stop gaps when you sign them to an extra year or 2 cause most times they end up being lemons and surplus to requirements sooner or later. Then your paying him to play for Blacktown.

It was his hard running that got Tapau suspended for a shoulder charge (? Last year) as matagi ran that hard Tapau and he collided in a huge hit. It was great stuff and Matagi got straight up but Marty copped a week or 2 from memory.

Intersting thing for me is if we get him I'd say he'd be no.29 and we would all love carney to be no.30 which means Suli can't be brought up into the top 30.

There were reports yesterday that the NRL won't give us dispensation to use him outside our top 30, if we want to use Suli, we have to elevate him into the squad which means one of Matagi or carney can't be signed.

3 into 2 won't go unless the NRL have a change of heart and let us use Suli outside of our top 30.

It must be very frustrating trying to sort out all of this with injuries and salary cap issues...and we haven't seemed to be very good at it either. Eg: Nate myles

Had a slow start to season, but has been promoted to starting side last 2 weeks with Tim Mannah dropping to the bench. He has been very good for them in those 2 games (parras two wins), especially last week against the Tigers. Was running straight and hard with plenty of venom. If he could maintain that form would be a good pick up. I would start him and bring AFB off the bench where he is awesome. Get rid of Perrett who is a slow, over weight donkey.

He is exactly the type of forward we need coming off the bench. Tough, no fuss, full of energy. We dont have a player like that in our squad at all.

Not sure why we need this guy,great at returning kick offs and drop outs but does little else.Tom Amone in ISP is more of a Tanginoa clone,182 cm and 104 kgs.Last week Amone played 80 minutes at lock in ISP,made 19 runs for 180+ metres and made a stack of tackles and only missed 2 I think.He impressed last year and has been a shining light and extremely consistent again this year.Don't waste money on Matagi,promote Amone for a small amount and get a guy on the way up....
