Didn't watch it. I wondered whether or not I'd be tempted to at any stage but wasn't. I guess the good news is the Storm lost. Bad news is the Roosters won. Please just tell me nobody said, "Rugby league was the real winner on the night."

1. Munster is the new Slater...a massive cat
2. Put aside the roosters creative accounting...they have a fairly decent coach

When they were losing he was like every other. With the team he has I would expect him to win. They also need a Cronk, Sunny Bill type player. Need the players first! Then any half decent coach can win.

I think Cleary is a great coach, no names players and they still went well.

It is pretty clear why AFL crowds and support are a mile ahead of the NRL.... the AFL Grand Final on Saturday was a great watch... helter skelter, continuous, and entertaining.... last nights NRL Grand Final was terrible. That game did nothing to attract fans to the game. A team overloaded with superstars dominating a team religiously intent on trying to slow the game down. No wonder the crowd numbers are down.
Something radical needs to change in the way the ruck area is refereed.... there should be no more holding down. The ref should call 'held' and players should have to immediately let go. The game is soooooooooooooooo slow these days.

BTW, did anyone else notice when they were interviewing Cronk after the game that he thanked the Storm for all they did for him, he thanked Bellamy, he thanked Slater and he thanked Hoffman.

There has always been issues with refereeing and there always will be (in all sports).... doesn't change the fact in my mind that the AFL Grand Final was a far better watch than the NRL Grand Final. Rugby League has always been a better watch than Rugby Union based on it's speed and continuous ball in play. Based on the weekend, I unfortunately reckon AFL has both Rugby codes covered at present... hence the crowd numbers.

That first half effort from the Roosters should be played over and over again to our 30 players from November 1. That is how you win football games. Attack with your defence.

Not the spineless defence and powderpuff second phase pass and hope rubbish we got served up by Barrett and our players this year. Score 30 and hope like hell its enough. So glad this year is done.

Like them or hate them that was pure passion executed perfectly by well coached players tonight.
