Sea Eagles swoop for Tony Satini
Manly are set to come up with an astute signing for the future in boom Panther Tony Satini. Captain of the Penrith team that won the Holden Cup earlier in the season, Satini was dropped for the finals in a move the led to some angst among fans. Satini was hot property despite the snub and had offers from several NRL clubs. Expect a formal announcement that he will be joining the Sea Eagles in the next few days.

Lets hope that he finds his wings with Manly

I'm surprised Watmough isn't in the squad. I thought he'd do well in the 9's, plus he has been the face of the whole 9's concept for our club. I also thought Berryman would be there, see seems extremely quick and elusive.

Manly obviously don't want to win the $2 mill in price money which they need. Sorry but stupid selection !! The only ones I like are Williams, Taufua, Evans, Symonds. This Comp is for the fit fast players. The fastest players at the whole club should have been be picked for this. Very Disapointed

I don't mind that side to be honest. Looking forward to seeing how some of those young guys go. Nice mobile forwards and quick exciting backs. We should go OK.

Obviously all the playmaking will fall on DCE's shoulders, but Beaver will add tonnes of experience and leadership.

What a great opportunity for some of these fringe guys, the chance to play a game with arguably the clubs greatest legend. Long Live Beaver.

No way, Been told Taylor from the 20s is, he is a former State and Australian beach Sprinter, I have been told he smashes the rest of the team from a lying down tummy position at manly's trainings ( like a flag event in surf life saving ) and he goes out like a rocket. He smashed Gutherson everytime last season and the rest of the team, then over 100m still doing it in the 20s. Gutho doesn't have the explosive speed like Brett Stewart has.

Lawrence is the perfect frontrower for the 9s but is far to important to the team this year.

Penrith want to win. I was speaking to Gould a few weeks back, through some footy work I was doing and he said he wants to win everything from the young juniors right through to 1sts. He even told his new u20s coach Trent Barrett to quit helping the NSW Origin side to concentrate on his 20s. Like his Attitude, Manly should do the same.

That's ridiculous.......... ridiculous !!! No one is more competitive than our 2V and no one wants to win more than 2V does . It is a long season and we have players that are recovering from injury , aging players etc .
Bellamy has also rested his big 3 as well for good reason.
IMO Our 9s team is very competitive
