As much as Gould is a knob, he’s right when he says some players are Origin and some aren’t. Sometimes the former aren’t as good as the latter in club football. Gutho is a good club player who won’t make the step up. Gagai is barely first grade quality who excels at Origin. It’s weird.

Just goes to show how important specialist centres are, especially defensively. Both Wighton and Guffo are great attacking players ( in their pet positions) and aren’t used to the defensive decisions that need to be made.
Probably why a mobile 2nd rower generally makes a good fist of it.
