Despite the results I thought it was a terrific day of racing. Nothing like seeing champs come back and win so convincingly but I felt they were too short for the risks involved. So You Think was one of the great performances and reminds me a lot of Might & Power. More Joyous' win was also one of the greatest performances seen on a track - weight carrying record for a mare, race run upside down etc. I know it is easy to throw out superlatives but two huge runs and one great clash coming up. Still hard to see SYT not taking the honours though.

Mate I text Gronk just after SYT's run and used the words "possibly the best horse I have ever seen".

2 Cox Plates at this stage looks a certainty and who knows what the horse is capable of. I wouldnt be surprised if he does win the Cox Plate that they then opt to run him in the Cup.

Deifinitely shaping as one of better Cox Plates recently.

Clash with Hay List will be a beauty also.

I have to go back some time to remember seeing such high level horses with such mouth-watering future races coming up.

Yeah I think at the moment Hay List would probably be a bit tough for Black Caviar and unfortunately they may take separate paths over the coming weeks and its a clash we may not see.

Moody has indicated he might opt for the Salinger with Black Caviar which will put them on alternate weeks.

I have now missed 5 weeks!!! I keep forgetting, I actually havent even had time to get on the site until today.

Went to Derby Day and Oaks Day and had a very, very succesful carnival.
