This is just so infuriating. We are not playing a well-drilled Storm. Souffs were there for the taking. We have shot ourselves in the foot like so many times this year.

i thought the go forward has been missing for a while. players like paeska and marty and josh just seem to be down on their best form, and without punch up the middle, there is no space to use the ball. that and we spill it anyway

will learn from this.

The go forward is lacking because it is not structured in a manner that is conducive to effective consistent go forward in the big games, on top of too many players with ineffective go forward styles.

For example, Schuster forced into under plays which is not his fault in some respects and the stop prop and barge opponent approach, Huamole(as much as i rate the guy and love what he brings) needs to add some directness to his game and suffers in the same areas as Schuster, you have Jake that is over-used as a plodding linkman that has been done to death, Marty too often running angled runs and held up in a slow dance play the ball and not enough enthusiastic support to lead runners throughout the season offering variety at the line.

You have DCE lacking composed direct leadership plays in the big games and the over emphasis on Tom---yes he hasn't performed in the big games but i don't blame him tonight because he would of flourished if Manly gave themselves half a chance to start with(the small moments Manly had field position Tom looked dangerous tonight)
