The "obvious" disappointing aspect is a touch of composure with effective direct go forward and Manly could have easily won this game. Souths looked brittle as farkkkk with our lateral spreads yet we didn't even give ourselves the respect of half a chance with how ineffective we are and the big players not contributing to a composed leadership based performance.

The positive defensive reads under the mountain of tackles in the early stages was great to watch compared to some of the poor defensive reads and structure of previous weeks, the effort was there just ruined by ineffective overall play.

i thought the go forward has been missing for a while. players like paeska and marty and josh just seem to be down on their best form, and without punch up the middle, there is no space to use the ball. that and we spill it anyway

will learn from this.

We have some great players, we have some overpaid great players, we have some painfully average players abs we have some wildly inconsistent players and we have non events like aloai.

We don’t have the right mix at all.
