Sironen a done deal...Matagi gone?

According to our favorite rumormonger...............Sironen is a done deal. Manly sorting out cap & will announce his signing soon. May have missed out on Matagi. Not sure how to take this but am pretty happy with Sironen if actually signed. If we also sign Kevin Locke & maybe DWZ or Whare then I think our stocks are pretty good for 2017. Green, Cullen, Uate, Lane, J Wright, Slaimankel, Locke, Sironen, Whare or DWZ, however a little light on forward signings although we do have Meehan & Hopoate there!

I wouldn't be surprized to see Hoppa starting next year. Siro will be a good signing if true IMO. Think DWZ no chance for '17 but a good chance for '18? Whare still a chance but now Mansour has done his ACL, I can't see Penrith releasing anyone...

In the 80s I was a paperboy selling papers after school, and I would pore over the Sun and the Mirror which were full of league news every afternoon. Their league journos would have been at training I reckon, noting down names which would have been rushed to press.

I don't think the Whare one will come through, for next season anyway. Particularly now Mansour will miss early rounds. Main reason though, I notice Penrith have used Whare in their promo photos for the 2017 jersey range. They aren't a silly club marketing wise, you don't use someone that there is a possibility you may offload in your marketing material. Not as big a deal as say a membership campaign where there is printed material.. but yeah even our staff aren't silly enough to use potential losses in promo (hence the use of turbos and dce in membership campaign and not the most senior members). My spy has been adament for months that Whare would be back, but he has gone quiet on it in recent weeks. Maybe the DWZ option overtook. time will tell.

Good signing if true. Would still love Matagi. we need another strong prop. We have Lussick and he is good when in form. Then we have AFB, ok off the bench but still needs more work (gets gassed easily) so leaves us with Myles starting or lawrence. Much rather matagi starting with those big runs!

Would love whare to be there in 2017 as well.

Think we have an offer under review and waiting for clarity around Matai and Snake. I think once Matai and Snake are sorted, they will annouce (fingers crossed) Matagi, Siro and maybe Whare... Wishful thinking but would seem feasible.

Sironen is a crap signing IMO. Cant crack a 1st spot at the Tigers, does not bend the line in attack, soft in defence and even the Tigers fans don't rate him (I have two close mates who are diehard Tigers fans). Another Bozo signing for his old mate Siro...

Like you I have plenty of Tigers mates and none are really disappointed to see the back of him

The nsw hooker couldn't make the tigers team. Sironen could be a great signing. He will play a similar role as why gift use to play for us. He can tackle and also hit up and cover 5/8
