Silvertails greatest ever whipping boy

Craig Field played well below how he had played at Souths when he was at Manly and he was my 'whipping boy' back in the days, however, I think Chris Bailey copped it from most and then probably Nate Myles. Jye Mullane copped a lot, however, he was on peanuts compared to the other two.

I think Lodge should have been a 'whipping boy', as while he was mostly good when he was there, he was hardly ever there and then left to chase the dollars and is now sitting there scratching his butt and wondering..."Should I have taken the offer from Manly?'

Brayden Wiliame just had the unfortunate experience of being selected or playing in Manly sides who lost regularly in that particular era
Thought quite unfairly of being targeted actually , did have a couple of defensive issues at the time but was no worse then some of the other Manly backs and in that department .
Yep, that was my point re "Steppa" Stephenson, too. When the team is winning regularly, nobody is looking for a whipping boy. But when the team is losing, everybody is a target.

That’s a fair list there , some were maligned unfairly in my opinion.

For example no one tried harder , and did more than was ever expected , than Brad Parker.

DCE, much maligned and the cause of every loss we ever have ( if you listen to some ).

Rueben Garrick , extremely maligned , especially since his move to centre.

And yes early days , Jye Mullane , Paul Stephenson much maligned and neither was on big dollars.

There’s no doubt this place has some very very hard markers.

I can't actually find an argument to any of those mate.

Can you imagine the 💩 DCE would cop (and not just in here) if he had an injury history to match Turbo's?? Chez is lucky that he's basically remained relatively healthy over the course of his massive contract, because otherwise......

And as for Garrick, by the numbers he's actually a better defensive centre than Koula is. But the problem is that our right edge faces almost twice as much traffic than our left does, so anytime he or Chez or Saab make a boo boo in defence, it gets amplified because it happens more often. I do personally think that right now he's a better winger than centre and that his tackling can get very sloppy at times. though he is on the improve. But I can't honestly see any way Seibold at least is ever going to move him back to the flank.

To name any others ... I seem to recall Brayden Williame copping it in here a lot, and Nate Myles.

But for mine the all time champ is Trent Barrett. We'll NEVER stop whipping his sorry coaches ar$e :rofl::rofl: The ONLY thing that ever saved him from killing our proud never got the spoon record was the Worms having far greater experience at getting it.

Honestly of any of them Brayden deserved the whipping boy status , but he was unlucky to be in a really **** side at the time which amplified his shortcomings.

I reckon most who have copped critisism deserve it, hell I kick myself up the ass everyday when Im not performing and fans have a right to throw out opinions, as long as its not a low blow or too personal and has legs....in saying that Myles springs to mind and I think I give a thumbs up to every post about those terrible performances and lack of effort....and there was a fullback from NZ named Yogi or something when I was a kid, absolute nightmare player and was run out of Manly pretty quickly by memory
Like your good self I am also my biggest Critic , I am my own judge and jury .
I use the energy of my own harsh feelings of judgment to bounce back up from my bitter disappointment and try harder to be and to do better .

It is a Cruel World because we are all Critics of others
We All are also Hypocrites .
The Truth is ...
None of us can point a finger at any one
Because When some one points a finger at someone else , They should remember that three of their fingers are pointing back at them selves
