I wonder whether

a) they have a terms and conditions attached to it
b) they have a tpl number on the competition?

If they dont have either of these or the disclaimer does not specifically state that we can not enter (if it does then that is grounds for discrimination, which they are already guilty of on MSE.com as well as fair trading breaches, but hey who am I to raise that)
then they can not stop us

The only terms and conditions I can see are:

Winners will be drawn at the Manly Leagues Club 7.30pm on Saturday 18th March 2006. All winners will be notified by
phone and mail. The Manly Sea Eagles Ltd reserves the right to void this offer if there are insufficient subscriptions.

The other thing that is not specified is whether these logos appear for one game, home game or the entire season.

Given that they stand to raise $60,000 from the lottery you'd think it would have to be the season?

My guess is that if something was seen as being in conflict with the interests of the club they could refuse to take the entry.

If they did I would be pretty disappointed but my guess is that it would be hard to get this up and even harder to win!!!

You cant do that in a competition. It would be a breach of fair trade and competition laws. They could exclude club employees as this would be a conflict of interests, however our site is not a conflict of interests!

You see basically they have no legal grounds to reject our submission AND if the did it would come very close to discrimination!

yeah exactly, I dont see a tpl number which makes me question whether this is an official competition and whether it is therefore protected by the gaming act and other legislation.

I believe it could fringe on illegal without it though!
