Seibold presser ..

I've wondered about Hales coming from a high school background. Junior football is so much different.

Then again, there are repeated calls on here to get rid of Dymock because our defence is rubbish.

Which brings me to the question: does every other fan cohort concentrate on how bad the assistants are?

Seems odd to me. I'd reckon those with Bennett and Bellamy as coaches wouldn't give it a second thought.
Another Bob Fulton favourite. Like Peter Blunt and Trent from Central Casting.

The latter two were both inspired and inspiring picks.

Not really.

Even at 100% fitness, which he'll never be again unfortunately, he can't do it alone. Common sense would say to leave him out until after the bye at a minimum.
Having him on the field at all is such a roll of the dice these days. You never know how long he might last, so my inclination would be to play him. We need the win, and he's just as likely to hurt himself getting out of bed on the bye weekend as he is during a game. So unless we're going to put him in cottonwool and never play him, I reckon we throw him out there every chance we get.

Oh I agree, I watched it and also realised he pointed out we’re not the only team impacted by the scheduling, which by the way is a legit grievance, 3 games in 11 days with a trip to the other side of the country (whoops Nation) isn’t great, deal with it or take it up with the NRL, where all aware.

I much preferred Bennett’s approach and while Seibs didn’t blow up about it or directly use it as an excuse, he choose to bring it up, was it a way to shift the focus? Who knows. I just want some ownership, some honesty, not more pride moments and excuses, implied or otherwise, man up, where facing some difficult times, own it and get on with it, I much preferred Bellamy’s honesty, it lets the players take that on board and get on with it, which makes me wonder what our boys take on board each week, seems like a week gutted approach from a week gutted………..yep it rhymes.
I might be in the minority but I actually thought Siebs body language wise looked really pissed off in that presser. I wondered if it related to the guy sitting next to him tho.

I only saw parts of the last 2 games but Manly's attack ... seemed off v Sharks, and first half v Saints was a comedy or errors.
It was like the players had never met.
Not a stretch to think the short turnarounds meant they hadn't done much attack practice, especially since what little time they had for field sessions was probably spent on defence (quite appropriate after the storm shellacking)

That's exactly it. I was looking at the number of support staff you could see for both Panthers and Roosters last night on the telly. We are light years away
Nah, all ya need is a bloke to run the sponge and a mate of the coach to hang around the team to organise piss ups and weekends away.

During the last two games he has shown more emotion in the box than I can ever recall previously. Particularly during the Cronulla game.

He needs to somehow transfer that emotion (and hopefully passion) to the team this week. I am not sure they can play that badly again yet they only lost by 2 points. I think a newly rejuvenated Penrith will bring out the best in the boys next week. The question is....can Seibold?

Seibold said because of the short turnaround, travel etc, they'd only had one field session between matches.

Does that explain how they lost the ability to catch or pass a ball?
Let the excuse athon begin.

I suspect after next weekend the number of those prepared to make excuses will dwindle further to a mere trickle of diehards. I'm going to take some of Wombats lube before kick off. Being a realist will accept what's coming a week before it occurs. That way the sting of another loss will be dampened.

We will win again in Magic round. And the opposition won't even score a point.
