It is nice, I’ve been around when they do the country runs as well they get absolutely mobbed!!

I’m still of the belief that the NRL should take some games to the country more regularly.

Not the blockbusters but the ones they know will have low attendances anyway.

The game in the Bush is being fast overtaken by AFL, it’s the least they could do to keep the interest up.

They have a big following up the new England area and up to Moree too.
Might pay to put a bit of time in up there at some point...

The AFL is much more pro-active than the NRL in taking games to country areas.

Interesting stat. In their 30 years, other than when they had allocated home Finals at the SFS in the early-mid 90s, never once have the Brisbane Broncos taken a home game outside of Brisbane. All of their home games have either been at Lang Park / Suncorp or at the QEII. You'd think in 30 years they'd have at least taken a couple of games to country areas in Qld. Its a small part of why their average attendances are always much higher, they don't go playing home games in backwater towns where they have to put up the house full sign when 10,000 or so are packed in like sardines. Although, in saying that it should be noted that with all the deals they have in place, they would probably lose more money taking a home game to a country town in Qld than they would having it at Suncorp, unlike say Manly who actually make money by taking home games to places like Brisbane and Christchurch.
