Sea Eagles extend contract of Paseka

I don't mind tent, and I also don't know if the coaching staff are yelling 'run **** ya' ala Foz style, but I did get a chuckle when I read about Tent wanting to go to the nfl to try his luck.

He is so far from their full on , hyped up, scream at everything, mojo, he'd probably go into hiding just at the introduction to the coach, lol.

Anyway, "there's always next year."
He'd do well at nfl. 1 run hitup every 10min or so. Another showbag forward.

Paseka is gold if you accept him for what he is. He is not an alpha leader of the pack… but OMG, when we get one, he is the perfect sidekick.

His playing style reminds me of a cross between Luke Burgess & Tony Williams.
If only it was more like Toovey!
Imagine playing a body contact sport where 95% of opposition were physically smaller than you & you still don't dominate everyone!
The captain should have a quiet word!

Thing I would like Paseka to do next year: develop an offload. In fact all our forwards desperately need to do this. With his running role and his size it is the logical next move in his development.
Our lack of offloading infuriates me. The amount of times we get carved up around the middle from teams paying second phase footy (Roosters dominated us with this on Saturday night) is crazy, would be nice if we could employ a similar tactic every now and then instead of ineffective one out runs or spreading the ball side to side like we usually do.

To put it in perspective, Tom was our only player in the top 50 offloads this season in 30th with 25, and he only played just over half the season. Our only middle with more than 10 all season was Brown with 11 - Paseka only had 4, Jake 3, Bullemor 4, Sipley 8 and Aloiai with not a single offload all year! For a comparison in our 2021 team we had DCE, Taupau, Paseka (he had 28 back then!) and even Harper all in the top 50. Jake's the one I really don't understand, I feel it was a pretty strong part of his game in his first 5 or so years but he seems to have put it away completely, coincides pretty well with his fall off as a player since then. Compare that to the likes of Yeo and Murray and that's somewhere we've really fallen behind in recent times.

It must be a coaching thing to try and reduce the amount of errors we make but there's some pretty solid evidence now that it hasn't worked, definitely one thing I'd hope we address so we don't look so predictable all the time.

I am a fan of Paseka
He is a big Mother and can be Monstrous
But at times he plays like a Sister
He needs to be more Consistent

He's consistent, while admirable, sometimes it's good to be a bad arse in the NAS mould when we need him to be. And a bad arse Paseka will never be.
