SCSE no more

Makes perfect sense that they do this for their locals and juniors. Their own identity is important and there's no connection with Manly anymore. Good luck to them.
As for the one and only mighty Manly Sea Eagles team, I can't wait to see them rip in this year.

Haven't they gone on to great things since the Manly departure. Have won about six games in three seasons.

It was fantastic to see the Manly guys running around in the QCUP. The 2009 team that won was basically an NRL team.

Doesn't that show the lack of forward thinking by the NRL?

Let's stuff up something that is successful and make them play in the NSW league.

Well done again NRL.

It was successful for us, so that was enough reason for the NRL to kill it. Every NRL side should be directly linked to a Queensland team in the form of a reserves side. The quality of players that would then be playing in the NRL would be outstanding. Any new team that may enter the comp through expansion should link with a QCUP side to ensure quality depth.
