Sam Thaiday takes the early guilty plea

WAMF

Plodder in Chief
The Bronco's have assessed the tackle and believe it to be too risky to challenge and potentially cost Sam an extra match on the sidelines.
He will miss the next 2 games which is a significant blow in addition to Hoffman's injury.

Huge blow for them. The Warriors are a great chance at taking them out and all of their remaining matches are potentially sudden death.

Two matches for a possible broken neck. Should have been five. No comment from Gallop. Obviously no mums rang him up this week.

Thaiday's Mum rang Gallop and told him he was a lovely boy.

Notice they showed the fight on the Dally M's again tonight? Absolute disgrace. Bloody hypocrites

Gallop has reported that is was an inadvertant airing of that footage.

Sponsored by the Todd Carney home for wayward footy boys.

Noticed that they were all to ready to use the fight footage tonight to illustrate the rivalry present between us and the storm. Poor form in my opinion. They should not be allowed to have it both ways, yet outside of this forum they seem to be able to do as they please.

Talking to a mate about suspensions the other day and we agreed on a point that NRL should consider. What if in say Glenns case - he was given 3 weeks - so he serves the first week being the final home and away round (26) and then the first 2 weeks of the following season? This would allow all players to be available for semi finals andt 1 moment of madness (Glenn/Blairs fight & Thaidays tackle) wouldnt cost them potentially playing in a Grand Final.

Then you'd have nut jobs like Terry Regan running around in the last few weeks of the season taking the heads off their semi final contenders best players and still be able to play in the finals themselves. Wouldn't work.

Lesson to be learnt here is don't throw punches on the sideline after you have been sent to the sin bin. And if you do, don't complain if you miss some finals footy because of it.

Fair Point

Yes, unfortunately Glenn has had to learn the hard way (might have thought he learnt last year though) that fighting on the sideline is not the best way to stay on the field. The re-airing of the 'fight' was plainly ridiculous. It will probably generate many calls from 'mums' to The Goose this morning. Maybe he'll have to apologise.

- Airing of it at Dally Ms, nice on NRL
- Having people like Reg Reagan plainly advocating this type of this, nice on NRL.

No clue.

Actually in hindsight, Glenn should have gotten off his charge because he actually didn't land a punch on Blair, they were all airswings. So technically he got 3 weeks for not hitting Blair. So in summary, if you are going to get penalised for something then make sure it is worthwhile. 🙂
