Sam Kasiano......

According to media reports he's surplus to requirements at the Storm & they're looking at offloading him?? Not sure if he would be worth a shot?? Still only 28.......wouldn't be too bad a proposition coming off the bench. Sure would give us more front row firepower!! Taupau, AFB, Paseka, Kasiano,Sipley, Amone, Perrett.......

"Melbourne are attempting to offload giant prop Sam Kasiano in a bid to sign the hottest property on the open market - Broncos colossus Tevita Pangai Junior.
Big things were tipped for the giant Kasiano when he joined the Storm this year from the Bulldogs but he failed to live up to the hype.
Kasiano did manage 14 games in the top grade but averaged only 23 minutes per match and failed to make the type of impact Craig Bellamy has been looking for."
Us take Kasiano to free up money for the storm to buy Pangai Jr.....i don't think so

I'm not convinced entirely that Marty will stay at Manly. I think Des will have a word about whether he really wants to be there and if the answer is 'no' I reckon Des will let him walk. Contracts don't mean much these days. Then our priorities change for the forward pack. Des likes aggression. I reckon he'll use Marty's money to chase klemmer and probably pass on Kasiano

I love big marty and hope he stay's, but klemmer is a complete footballer and would swap instantly.

I think I remember reading that he has a strong friendship with Jake too from rep duties together which would help galvonise the pack. He might even slap Cherry back into career best form

Tango is a keeper, but gee I like the look of Paseka. With some good coaching and raw meat he could be anything
Paseka could be anything, Jason king could have gone much further but couldn't find that balance.
He only stood out when someone pissed him off.

Ok, this is probably WAY off topic but, talking about forwards, does anybody have any information about the backrower from the Manly 20's in 2017 and where he is now? Olakau'atu I think was his name...he looked very talented.

I believe he was out for most of 2018 with a stress fracture, and will be still with manly in 2019. So fingers crossed.

Pretty sure a ST member reported a few weeks ago that he had an early season ending injury and was now in rehab and will be right for next year.
I really hope he comes back because he's a monster and could play.

I personally think that Kasiano has still got some good football ahead of him. He can be dangerous but hasn't been consistent. He's worth taking a punt at a decent price tag. But agree with others as well that Paseka is worth keeping and a wild card that can potentially be unstoppable.

I think Cam was right in an earlier post.....feed this bloke a diet of pies and sign him up for a 10 minute burst each half.
Always hated the Dogs, but Every time he came on against Manly I got worried, as he bent the line and offloaded at will....often changing the game.

There is a Macca's across the road from Brookie. Just let him have a Big Mac or two after training and games 😉

This is a tough one. I really didn't like what I seen at the end of the year.

Is he carrying a major injury? Something's a miss.

After due diligence and only for the right price Yes. He has the experience and ability to dominate and be that bully in a big game like JWH does so well.

But I can't help but think danger, danger, danger on this one.

Especially because I believe he was good coin at storm.

Lots and lots of due diligence needed on this one.

They got him into shape at Melbourne but, as others have noted, he then could barely make a dent.
Pretty sure Des used him in very short bursts only, whether that is a rotation that will suit our squad in 2019 I have no idea.
There was a few games when he was wide, after the interchange was reduced DES gave him big minutes. He done it easy. Half the size this year he struggled to last 15 minutes. Something just doesn't fit.
