Manly are in a precarious cap position because they are making way for Matt Moylan. He is all but signed, sealed and delivered, however we need to play Tetris over the next couple of weeks to get it all to fit. It may mean we have to release another player...Gould sent Jennings to the Roosters with his blessing and now he is sending Moylan our way in order to free up the inevitable cap space required for their club to keep Clearly...they understand the best way to make that happen and still have a quality spine, is to concentrate on Tyrone May and Dylan Edwards; Penrith could have both of those players for the combined salary that Moylan is on.

The other thing about our cap (as others have mentioned) is that it's not as simple as just paying a player the Matai/Snake money...there are upgrades, players earning more next year than this year etc. It's a complex equation.

It seems we are going the Melbourne route...stack the cap with our spine, a couple of second tier big names in the form of Taupau and Walker and then cheapies like Bryan Kelly etc.

Looks that way but again, Green has to walk and the Warriors have to hold their position.

I shouldn't say we've signed Moylan, I should say that pending the salary cap Tetris game, Moylan will be an Eagle next year.

I've read quite a lot of your posts over the years and have no reason to doubt you. You seem to know your stuff and are fair dinkum.

Just wanted to know whether to get excited over this or not!

I'm not sure if he is what we need although i think he's a very good player and a goal kicker.

Just not sure who will take the reins of organiser between him and Cherry....

I hope your right mate, we need some more big name players and no disrespect to our current squad but we need some more stars. Moylan is a great start and with him in our squad in top form and he and Daly gel I see no reason why we cant challenge a premiership. I was very doubtful when this rumour started, mainly because of Walker to Five-Eight PTSD but as some have mentioned on here, Walker was never a playmaker where as Moylan is. #INSNAKEWETRUST

Others on here see you as a reliable source, so with me presuming they're reliable sources I will put my trust in you snake, would be an awesome addition! I was, and admit I still am a little worried if he does end up playing in our halves although he will have an entire off season so you never know. The Penrith players seem to love him so I can't see him being a princess, I just reckon he doesn't see eye to eye with Griffin, and I can't blame him tbh.
