I don’t believe he is presenting one face to the media and a different one to the players. I believe what you see is what you get. Have you ever heard a player quoted as saying “he tore into us” or “Seibs was pissed” or anything of that nature? It is quite clear his personae and coaching philosophy is based on positive reinforcement. That would be fine until you start losing games you should be winning, where you need to call out the negatives. I just don’t think he has it in him.I seriously wonder if you people actually believe that Seibold tells his players what he tells us in the post-match press conference... It's so obviously a mechanism purely to take blame off the players. That's the point of it, and nothing more, especially in the new media age where no one cares what you say in a presser, unless you say something incredibly stupid. See AOB.
I sometimes wonder if some of the anti-Seibold people blame the weather on him. And if they also believe theres an infinite food source in Woolworths. Some of the comments here are absolutely moronic. Acting like he tells them to lose the game... Funnily enough, the same problems we've had since Foran 1.0 left, are the same problems we have now. No game management. No culling of other teams unless they hand it to us on a platter. A seeming ability to contend but it falls apart when scrutinised. There's two constants since 2015... But most of these critics don't seem to have object permanence, so I don't blame them. If they don't see Penn or DCE all the time, that must mean they don't exist anymore.
Like if I showed them a picture of a chubby, ugly rat that makes an annoying garbled high pitched sound, before and after every Manly loss, they would start blaming the rat for every loss. They look at the propaganda read out by dribblers like James Hooper and take it at face value. If you see something on TV, it must be true.
They also act like Bellamy is on the open market. He is never leaving the Storm. They act like Bennett is up for grabs. He hates Manly, and even if he wanted to, Des has won a comp more recently than him. Ivan Cleary can't win another comp without the first-class pathways players he once bad. He was sacked at Penrith the first time around.
The new coaches are no guarantee either. We went though the "NEW ERA COACH WILL BRING US BACK" when we sacked Tooves, and installed Twent. How'd that go?
Imagine if we did that today. Sacked Seibold, in the middle of a long-term club rebuild, with no terrible record, and brought in AOB. He comes out, and says more honest things in press conferences, like you people seemingly want, directly calling you out, and saying you're too stupid to understand rugby league. Would you prefer that?
No, the bit part antagonists in this ongoing tragedy deserve recognition for their efforts. The Seispud Disciples all help to extend Tony's tenure. Which is charitable and kind because I don't imagine another club will ever buy into his methods again once he gets punted from here.while you are wasting your time on me you could have posted another five times on your boy Siebold..
I would love to but it really is an impossible task due to the delusional, almost psychotic denial you have displayed in multiple posts when it comes to our coach and his responsibilities. You often open with "I'm not excusing our coach," before doing just that. Your stubborn inflexibility would be admirable if it wasn't so utterly misguided. I concede that you are a very loyal Seispud disciple,I'm still waiting for your reply about where I made excuses... Tell the people my guy.

In this instance scavenge is the wrong word, as it was the last time you used it in this thread. I think you might be trying to find a derogatory term to describe those you perceive as critiquing, mocking, having a dig at, or taunting our coach.Scavenge away my guy. I bet your boy Tony is bothered. Very cute your love affair for him
I'm in your head... There is plenty of room.In this instance scavenge is the wrong word, as it was the last time you used it in this thread. I think you might be trying to find a derogatory term to describe those you perceive as critiquing, mocking, having a dig at, or taunting our coach.
I heard this not even two weeks ago from Jazz Tevaga. Lehi Hopoate indicated a similar thing occured after the first Sharks game. Worth noting these are on the individual level.Have you ever heard a player quoted as saying “he tore into us” or “Seibs was pissed” or anything of that nature?
Fair point here, but worth noting that I doubt any players watch the post-match conferences. Often the only media that references them nowadays on a regular basis, is seemingly AI-generated Fox League articles. They won't go out of their way to find these conferences. What impact do you think it has on the playing group to hear the coach continually finding excuses for losses?
Yep, that happens to Bellamy coached teams all the time………oh wait……….I'm definitely not letting off Seibold - he obviously has a part to play in it all. Not directed at you but it does make the me laugh when there are some on here that blame him for literally everything.
Clearly the team didn't come out with the same energy required to finish off the Knights which is extremely disappointing. Did the coach tell them to back off at half time, everything will be ok? I'm guessing not. But if they have tuned him out, then equally the coach's job isn't tenable.
I don't think that's the case at this moment, which is why I'm comfortable to also point the finger at guys like DCE. He's the captain, million dollar player, and our halfback and he should be able to steer the ship home from 16-0. Whatever Seibold did or didn't say, DCE should be able to manage that job regardless. And he didn't.
If you say so my man . You seem to know bestYep, that happens to Bellamy coached teams all the time………oh wait……….
Good grief, it’s the foooken coach……..period!!!!

Thing is how many times has that happen to Bellyache and his side v the constant crap we dish up……don’t worry about Bellyache not having won a GF for five years, he had them in the GF last year, has won 5 GF’s and is a 7 time Dally M winning coach, I’d kill for a coach with a record like that our club, now compare that with Seibs.Dolphins Vs Storm - Rnd 7, 2025.
Half time: Storm 18, Dolphins 12.
Full time: Storm 22, Dolphins 42.
Screw sacking Seibold, the Storm need to sack Bellamy! He clearly told them to shoot themselves at half time! Terrible coach. He hasn't won a premiership in five seasons. What happened to the Storm's premiership winning standards?
Oh yeah, when Melbourne win, it's all because of Hughes and Papenhuyzhen. Bellamy just sits around and does nothing. Also their assistant coach is rubbish because they conceded 42 points.
You people might think I sit on a high horse with my opinions, and that's because I do. I don't need to be accountable, I'm anonymous too!
You’re obviously entitled to your opinion. Just want to make the point that I don’t believe those in the sack camp blame Seibold for “literally everything” as you have stated. The club obviously has a range of problems starting with the owner on down, including a captain who leaves more and more to be desired with each passing day.I'm definitely not letting off Seibold - he obviously has a part to play in it all. Not directed at you but it does make the me laugh when there are some on here that blame him for literally everything.

“A ton of spirit”Lost for words or proud of the team?

I don’t think that’s Ricky. Think it’s an AFL coach, but still a fair old rant. I see Todd Payten gave the cows a rev up tonight at half time, but didn’t seem to have any impact.I hope behind closed doors Seibs follows Stickys spray. Our Manly team is so bloody Dumb.
