My point is that, yes, at the end of the day he’s the coach & is responsible but he’s not out on the field doing stupid things! When the team executes the game plans we win! They’re too inconsistent. Maybe Siebold can’t motivate the players…. I have no fu<ken idea but FMD we are struggling with consistency in the forwards. We miss Paseka & Aloiai big time. I don’t give a flying fu<k what people say about Aloiai but he’s a big missing piece of our forward pack. Why Siebold persists with Waddell is confusing. I’d have Chee Kam in his place. Why is Navale so expendable yet older forwards are brought in? Whether or not Siebold’s hands are tied I don’t know but we need fresh meat in there. Navale, Patolo, Pua’avase, Lai’afi….Mate, you can't just excuse the coach. It doesn't work that way in any professional team sport. Have a look at the Premier League, NFL, NBL, AFL etc. The buck stops with the coach.
All off season Siebold went on about closing the gap to the top 4. He bought a bunch of old forwards by his own choice claiming they would add experience and competition for spots. He didn't bother signing a backrower even though we desperately need at least one more. It hasn't worked, we have gone backwards with a bullet. We won't win a comp with a coach who has never experienced winning in any grade during his coaching career.
All good mate, you love the club that's obvious. And I am sorry about your Dad. Its very hard losing our parents. I completely agree regarding Aloia and Paseka. Without them we are always going to struggle. Anyway, with the way we are playing, it's possible we win by 50 next weekend. My point is that, yes, at the end of the day he’s the coach & is responsible but he’s not out on the field doing stupid things! I'd be going for Justin Holbrook. He can coach.Seibold goes, who's going to take his place, ....failed ex coaches.
I believe our forwards are the problem. Backs are fine. Paseka, Aloiai, Olakau’atu, Brbo, Lodge are keepers. I’m not convinced on Navale. New blood needed to improve our pack. We’re not gonna do it with TKO, Sipley, Jrbo, Waddell, Brown, MCK.The players are to blame also but we need to get the correct coach and let that coach clean out the roster and rebuild. The problem is most have no confidence in seibs to do the rebuild.
It starts with the owner and he takes zero responsibility for the team. Nothing will change while we have the current owner we have.On the coach many don't want the coach some like the coach
Coach options are limited but
Everyone on here watched the game there is were missed tackles Il discipline wrong options dropped balls from the players
And same game management from the coach Navale limited minutes same with bully he is out best forward at the moment
Our squad why Lodge ,Waddell Tevanga
Not the signings this team needs
We could go on and unfortunately we've witnessed for far too long
All loses are hard to take this one especially
Manly are so inconsistent for many years now
With different coaches , CEO'S and players
The main common denominator the owner hmmm
Sorry Max, I dont think Aloiai and Lodge are keepers.I believe our forwards are the problem. Backs are fine. Paseka, Aloiai, Olakau’atu, Brbo, Lodge are keepers. I’m not convinced on Navale. New blood needed to improve our pack. We’re not gonna do it with TKO, Sipley, Jrbo, Waddell, Brown, MCK.
Patolo, Pua’avase, Sykes, Dunford, Laiafi waiting for an opportunity!
No good forwards? You know since the Penn family took control we have had what
Tooves
Baz
Des
Seibs
And apart from one turbo golden year we have not really ever challenged (remember it was 2014 when this happened)
You tell me what has been the one consistent in that period?
Unfortunately 3/4 of this crap team shouldn't be keepers.Sorry Max, I dont think Aloiai and Lodge are keepers.
So, what is your take Ralphie Boy? I’m listening…Ok, I’m getting to the point of joining the Sack Seibs brigade. I have remained neutral for years, but tonight has nudged me just over the edge… not good enough, and I think we need to ask some honest questions about our coach and his strategies. I honestly believe even Arthur would have coached a win tonight for us.
HOWEVER, the bigger and more crucial issue for me is who owns the club and what they project. Penn needs to go, in an ideal world. He has had a free pass coasting on financial support for too long. It is clear, he has been in charge of our worst performing results since he took over (moderating the merger days). I know this may not have practical application, but it’s my honest feeling.
When?I'd be going for Justin Holbrook. He can coach.
Seibold is Barrett V2. This is not a well coached team, we are mentally weak and nothing will improve until the coach, DCE & the Turbos have been replaced via a thorough rebuild. We should have kept Flanagan. So, what is your take Ralphie Boy? I’m listening…
And no take on the owner of the club and his performance?Seibold is Barrett V2. This is not a well coached team, we are mentally weak and nothing will improve until the coach, DCE & the Turbos have been replaced via a thorough rebuild. We should have kept Flanagan.
I am not sure how that logic works in keeping Flanagan, the Dragons are 2 points below us on the ladder.Seibold is Barrett V2. There are ZERO options until we have an owner who decides we need to win at ALL COSTS… whatever it takes.Again,no serious options as replacements,if I hear more of the Toovey/Bennett/Bellamy spiel........
