Not sure, but Seibs lost 6 straight at the Broncos, had one win, then lost the next 4 (before taking leave).
We will lose 7 straight and can’t blame it on youth because we aren’t a young developing side, we are a washed up old beaten up side.. Nothing to look forward to next year either, because the recruitment strategy that has failed us this year looks we are following the same blue print for next year

Not quite , I think what we need to look forward to is the development of the youngsters we have or might have.

If we have no money to buy anyone , or they simply won’t come regardless , then nothing left but to hope some of the kids come good.

I agree but I just think playing youth this late in the season with half our squad out isn’t fair on these young kids. They dream of playing NRL and for it to be a magical moment with friends and family but with this current lacklustre squad we would be feeding these young man to the wolves and basically ensuring that there debut game will be a 40 point loss that doesn’t sit right with me it’s not fair on them.

I don't buy the they won't come rubbish. How did we get Fogarty? How did the wooden spoon Tigers sign Korisau, Jerome and the May brothers? How is a good winger like Wilson interested to come here? We will sign a few and elevate a few more I think. The excuses are as weak as they are funny.

Manly set to lock in coaching set-up in clear nod to Anthony Seibold’s future

Manly have moved to end speculation about the future of under-pressure coach Anthony Seibold – tabling a key extension to shore up their coaching structure ahead of the 2026 season.

Manly have tabled Michael Ennis a new 12-month contract for next season to continue working as a specialist coach focused on sharpening the club’s attack.
The new offer to Ennis is the first sign of evidence that the Sea Eagles are planning to stick with their same NRL coaching structure in 2026, including head coach Anthony Seibold, beyond this season.

Sea Eagles management have remained bullish that despite the club’s 10th position on the ladder and long odds to play finals football this season, Seibold will remain in charge next year.

The head coach is contracted to the Sea Eagles until the end of 2027.

Seibold has coached this season to a backdrop of major turmoil, sparked by the messy handling of captain Daly Cherry-Evans announcing his departure from the club, on top of a massive injury toll.

With an acute understanding of how upsetting Cherry-Evans’ decision was to the dressing room, Manly management are willing to back Seibold into next season.

Seibold also has a good working relationship with Ennis, whose consultancy work with the team’s spine will be even more paramount next season with the arrival of a new halfback in Canberra’s Jamal Fogarty.

Widely viewed as an NRL coach-in-waiting, Ennis joined Manly last season adding to a strong resume of coaching experience, having previously held roles at the Sharks, Raiders and Eels.

Ennis is expected to work closely with incoming halfback Jamal Fogarty.
Manly’s bid to keep Ennis at the club also keeps the door ajar for the former Sharks premiership-winning hooker and Fox Sports commentator to replace Seibold, should the current coach decide to step away at the end of his current contract.

It has been widely reported that Seibold may not want to coach beyond his current deal.

There was a meeting organised by Manly powerbrokers last season with Ennis’ agent George Mimis and club CEO Tony Mestrov to discuss the possibility of a succession plan that included the 273-game player and former NSW Origin hooker taking over from Seibold at the end of his current contract.

It’s believed Mimis made it clear at the time that Ennis’ only focus was to support Seibold’s coaching strategy.

The Sea Eagles can keep their slim final hopes alive by beating the Dolphins in Cherry-Evans’ 350th NRL appearance at 4 Pines Park on Saturday.

100% fair comment

If this ends up being true, I won't be renewing my membership after 15 years. I think its time for all members to think hard about handing your hard earned money to a club that has no clear path forward but is satisfied with more of the same garbage.

I did that last Monday..... 5 memberships not being renewed. We've been season ticket members in Jane Try for 15 years and when I advised them I am not renewing the families tickets I received an email that thanked me for my 4 years of membership? I don't get how they get that wrong?

How did the Dogs manage to sign Burton, Crichton, Mahoney, and Kikau, after 6 miserable years?, money, that's how, they had a gradual clean out of players who hadn't really performed in years, happens to most clubs, with the exception of Melbourne, where they just tweak their roster on an annual basis.

i dont envy the membership crew.If the club/business can’t get the people above them right, how are the lowest folk in the food chain supposed to be professional?Ive had several interactions with the membership people and it is always a slow and painful process for something quite easy to resolve
