Begrudgingly agree.Willing to give him another run because kicking out your captain, halfback and chief playmaker, alongside your coach, within a single off-season sounds incredibly stupid.
Don't think this loss was on Seibold. We were leading a little after halftime. From there on, it's on the team, and the captain... Who was absolutely abysmal tonight.
I'd prefer for us not to have a dad's army but I genuinely fear what delightful new Barrett 2.0 Penn will gift us.
You're a brave and compassionate man, Phobia, to give Seibold another go. Personally, I feel like a father of distraught children. Our cat just got kidnapped by a rich Greek man, and I need to choose whether I also put down the disease ridden dog or not, and leave them with nothing. You're a brave and compassionate man, Phobia, to give Seibold another go. I am hoping that the vacuum of clean, fresh air created by the departure of DCE could be the circuit breaker the team needs. I suspect his presence might be even more of a problem than I think it is, and I think it's a HUGE problem. But that could just be the last remaining shred of hope I have left for 2026.
dont forget he also mentioned we lost to the team coming 1st#breakingnews from seibs presser.... Jake won't play next week

Of course he could be throwing games. Petulant little prattThat last attacking bomb for Saab was a perfect example of things DCE does that never change.
As we've pointed out in other threads, when Munster or others at Melbourne kick high for Xavier Coates, 99 times out of 100 the ball comes down in the in-goal area allowing Coates, should he catch the ball (he usually does) to just fall to the ground and score.
DCE's attacking high kicks for Saab 99 times out of 100 fall about 5 metres out from the try line. Saab is tall with a 7 foot wingspan ... but he's not THAT tall that he can fall and score from 5 metres out even if he does actually catch the ball.
And tonight wasn't the first time he's been made to look very ordinary by a much younger and vastly less experienced NRL half. Sure Ethan Strange was in the Raiders 6 tonight, but he was opposite DCE on our right edge and he literally gave our 348 game, premiership winning, World Cup winning, Clive Churchill Medal winning halfback a lesson tonight.
Last year against Canberra at Brookie, Kaeo Weeks was their halfback and he did the same thing, made DCE look like a chump.
The game has passed Daly Cherry-Evans by. The Chooks are welcome to him.
Give it a rest son. Seibs is cooked. Read the room man.Willing to give him another run because kicking out your captain, halfback and chief playmaker, alongside your coach, within a single off-season sounds incredibly stupid.

Seibs is cooked once Penn decides a massive payout will actually bring an actual increase to his long term revenues.Give it a rest son. Seibs is cooked. Read the room man.
That's a perfect summary and fact. Also in most instances where a new coaching team comes in, there are players tapped on the shoulder and others who are recruited. Seibs has recruited Woods, Simpkin, Paulo, Lodge, TKO, Brooks, Brown, Chee Kam, Willett, Jazz, Schoupp, James, Matterson, Talau, etc.
He released The Fainus x 3, Schuster, Keppie, Lawton, Tuilagi, Tuipolotu, Weekes, etc
Mate he has to go. Our attack and defence have turned to crap these past few weeks. His recruitment has been beyond terrible. The guy looks like he's terrified of his own shadow. I actually worry for Seibs mental health. It was always going to be a big ask coming back after the Broncos fiasco.Seibs is cooked once Penn decides a massive payout will actually bring an actual increase to his long term revenues.
Penn, Des, and DCE all have one thing in common, and that's how tight they are.
I don't believe he'll get the sack anymore, mainly because of this, but also because of a looming court case that would cost the club a lot of precious money it would need to payout Seibold with.
Just watched it now. He looks like desperate man the poor bloke. Jazz couldn't play hooker tonight because he can't bend over apparently. Surely Patolo or Navale were better options then? He said he was proud three or four times, reminded everyone that we beat Melbourne three weeks, and talked up how good a team Canberra are. If people can't see that he is done, I don't know what they watch.Within the first 5 words of the presser Seibold said "Really proud".......FMD![]()

We're getting embarrassed on the field, results aren't improving, the fanbase is hurting… and the coach is proud? Of what, exactly?Within the first 5 words of the presser Seibold said "Really proud".......FMD![]()

I think my head just exploded reading this......!!Some quotes from the press conference tonight:
- “I was really proud of the effort”
- “Canberra have been really good this year”
- “We led after, what? 50 minutes or 55 minutes or whatever it was”
- “There’s a tonne of effort”
- “We did a lot of good things in the first half”
- “We had a red hot crack”
Another key stat from tonight’s presser: the word “effort” was used 9 times! (6 from Seibold, 3 from DCE)
As mentioned the other day, this guy loves a bit of mediocrity lol. As long as you do the bare minimum of wanting to win the game as a professional athlete though it doesn’t matter how many times you fall short right!?
Sadly, I see the Tigers, Dragons, Titans and Eels all going past us next season. We will be fighting it out with the Knights to avoid getting our first spoon. It's a sporting tragedy. Meanwhile, Penrith playing away from home for an entire season have turned their season around winning nine straight. On the march to make it five in a row. Imagine how good they will be next year back at their new ground with all those young guys a year older. We are so far off the pace it isn't funny. We're getting embarrassed on the field, results aren't improving, the fanbase is hurting… and the coach is proud? Of what, exactly?
This is why it feels like the standards have completely collapsed, from the top down. When ownership doesn’t care, when there's no accountability, you get pressers like this. No fire. No honesty. Just spin.
We’re not asking for perfection, we’re asking for truth. Passion. Leadership. A clear plan to win. Instead we get this dribble week after week. It’s beyond pathetic, it’s insulting.
