Yeah, along with the "We should have kept Des" narrative, can we also stop the "We kept the wrong coach" narrative around Flanagan? It's not like he's lifted St George to dizzying heights since he left.
I genuinely cannot understand how Des still gets referenced here in that context. And yes his titans beat us but they are running stone motherless last and talk is already he won’t see out his contract. Game had moved passed him and it was time for change on that front. Unfortunately it now seems that his replacement has not faired much better. It’s going to be an interesting back end to the year in any case.

If we were to sack him now, our assistants would assume the role. Not sure i want that. Caretaker coach sucks
If we are lining up someone better then go for it. Just make the transition classy
If we are just going to sack reactively and fish while in caretaker mode then im a nah

I imagine after the dramas of des, barrett, and decades of the “coaching KPI” the manly coaching contract would have some refinements not appealing to coach alphas even if we did raise the coin to get them to a table . It would be a minefield . With hoops and hoops to jump through STING resistent with more hoops

I like some of what seibs is doing but he lacks the kahunas to make the big changes. Its been a demise , we have witnessed before which clouds things somewhat, but NOW is now

Could he be a footy administrator and get a better coach…….maybe
For us…..maybe maybe

People need to get along with penn seems to be the major KPI and if the dominoes fall, we may be in free fall again for year, achieving diddly squat because of a different set of reasons

Are there any older coaches, around 60+, who don't have aspirations to be a long-term coach and could take over for the rest of the year?

He could be an option. We just need an experienced head to guide us through the year and give the new coach the full pre-season to prepare the team.

Great future we're in for thanks mate, might just watch the AFL I think or Ramsay's kitchen Nightmares instead of cheering for another team future stars kicking out arss for years to con

Seebo seems a bit too corporate. I’m sure he presents well, croaky voice aside. Articulate, not at all stupid. Has a lot of good research backed science on how to construct a training regimen, build a team and win a game. Someone else here wrote his talents could be better suited to Rugby and I would add American football or hockey or some other dumb shiiiit…I think these guys would go better with someone who is equal parts caring and terrifying. Someone with some humour. A leader…A Manly player preferably. The candidates i have largely seen mentioned don’t fill me with much enthusiasm. I don’t know who should get the gig… Sadly we’ll be winning f all while Seibold remains.

There will be changes for the tigers game I am told.

I'm hoping something to this affect would be best:

1. Lehi
2. Garrick
3. Turbo
4. Koula
5. Talau
6. Brooks
7. Dce.
8. Jake
9. Simpkin
10. Sipley
11. Bullemore
12. Burbo
13. Tevaga
14. TKO
15. Crocker
16. Navale
17. Brown/wadell (unfortunately)
