i was told the same...in fact its the main reason he wanted to leave...his view apparently is we are no hope of winning a premiership with siebold coaching
The irony of that statement !! Siebold thinking exact same thing about a certain overrated halfback who he didn't want to resign.

So if Chammas is to be believed, and Chammas talked to Mestrov about this, not even Seibold wants to coach.

I've been a defender of Seibold, with the assumption that he actually wants to coach this NRL side through a rebuild in the future, when we have some cash to play with. Nope. He's going to leave the club, as the rebuild occurs. ****ing what?

I saw someone comparing this to Dave Warner announcing his retirement, so they couldn't drop him. You either sack the man, or he leaves the position anyway in 2028. Genius gambit. It's a shame he couldn't do one on, in you know, the on-field rut we are in.

And of all people, he's keeping the seat warm for Ennis??? Why him??

I seriously don't know how anyone can possibly think that Ennis is the next Bellamy, or that he's more capable than any more experienced assistant or ex-coach, in Arthur, Ballin, Tooves, etc. Tooves is a better option at this point. Ennis was coaching our hookers, halves, and "end of sets". In recent weeks, that involves DCE kicking it dead. What brilliant strategy.

Unrelated video of DCE calling Ennis a "pain in the arse".

What the hell is the club doing. I had Mestrov as a smooth operator, but he's either being used as a gearstick by Penn, or alternatively, as a dildo. I don't know which yet. Fogarty is in for a ride.

Buy 1 medium to high tier forward with the combined money of the old guys we are buying, and the rest should be juniors.

"As much as they're old and slow, at least they know how to be NRL-players"

I think the above statement is a bit of a cop out statement. Id take someone who is young and fast with potential over the above. The old and slow types only work if they are the Cam Smiths of the world who can rely on footy smarts. Brown, TKO, etc dont fit into that category.

You can play young forwards like Navale that have potential, but if they don't yet have the physicality to play a lot of minutes every week and impose themselves on the opposition, then they tire, they don't set a platform for the rest of the team, and the opposition runs through our defence.

Then we lose games... Then this happens...

Could it be worse than we are currently doing? Yes, absolutely... we have same number of wins as the team in 7th. Not as nearly as dire as today's headlines would suggest.

We are losing with an old and tiring roster. Youngsters can learn with experience. I remember when Tedesco, Brooks and Moses came onto the scene with the Tigers and copped a lot of losses. Its part of the learning curve.
