Easts showed the whining worms that you need to keep in check any thoughts that a game is won with 20 minutes to go, The Rorters showed their class and quality when they not only fell behind they lost their best player. They were challenged and responded as they do and the worms showed they are a capable team they wont get a better chance to beat Easts after having 3 more days to prepare for this game. Easts are the team to beat and it will take a mighty team to stop them from winning the premiership.

Cracking game of footy that lived up to the hype!

Two players I’ve always enjoyed watching are Josh Morris and Michael Jennings. Both put their respective opposites through a bath tonight.

On a negative, Voss and Anasta are the worst commentary duo out there, absolutely terrible!

Hence why when push comes to shove I'd rather Turbo over Tedesco. 99% of Teddy's hype is based around his attacking game. But as a defender he's never been anywhere near the best.

Turbo can attack and defend. Sure even Tom may have also struggled to stop Sivo there, but I seriously doubt he'd be swatted away like a fly.

Great to see the Slime lose but the game atm has some serious problems with the way the cap is structured. If the Roosters were to win 3 comps in a row can we really see this game being played on a even playing field? The cap was meant to spread the top footballers round the 16 teams but like always the Roosters have acquired the best all round team in the comp by buying them which makes me question the integrity of this so called cap. Something needs to be seriously done because at the moment plenty of fans won't support the game if the same team keeps winning..

They keep banging on about Sivo's ferocious charge to score & how brave Teddy was to get in front of him but I'm sure I noticed in the front-on shot that Sivo's elbow clipped Teddy's chin, knocking him out.

Fantastic game - up to SOO standard! Roosters are a well oiled machine and very fit. Credit to the Eels also, but not quite up to the same standard.

Hopefully, tomorrow's game will be as good with the avian species similarly prevailing.

I understand that Roosters are masters of the brown paper bags and have always bought premierships but you have to consider that no team besides the Roosters in the NRL era has won back to back but If you were to add this year's premiership you'll have to agree the integrity of the salary cap is no longer working. I know some teams have bigger caps but have never had the success the Roosters are having. The only team I can think of that had the same success is the Storm but we all know what happen with them.

Yes, similar in intensity & speed to Storm v Sea Eagles round 19 in Melbourne last year. More ball movement in tonight's game, but the game last year was tighter with a more thrilling finish.
