They've been policing the 10 metres pretty consistently since the start of the season, and I'm pretty sure they did say they'd be cracking down during the off season.

The deciding penalty wasn't about the 10. It was for markers not being square.

I feel for you. The Dogs got awarded their first try with some obstruction. 9 times out of 10 it would have been ruled no try. They end up only winning by 2

Gee I feel for the Tigers fans, they were absolutely robbed blind by nothing more than a bull**** penalty.

I ****ing hate Golden Point and that’s a perfect example why, both teams deserve a point out of that!

A p***weak penalty and I say definitely not worth deciding a game on. What a fizzer of an ending to a golden point game.

Did they tell the players, because it sure don't look like it judging by the penaltyathon we have been getting.

If they weren't told before it's been pretty clear over the first few rounds. Old habits die hard.

Yes there was. Vossie for some reason thought the main issue was where they were marking the spot for the penalty - the replay suggested on the 23 meter line, but they had it at the 29.

We are not talking about the same incident.

Not sure what you are talking about. I just rewound on fox and watch their replay again of the incident.

@COMMANDER and @HK_Eagle are talking about the pass earlier from out of play. Thinking about it, I thought the same at the time, let's have a look at that. No replay.

The Donkey markers weren’t square on many occasions in the GP period either, do a replay and watch.

That’s nothing other than gifting the Brisbane Donkeys the game with a bull**** penalty.

If they are going to persist with golden point perhaps they should consider changing penalties in extra time to "tackle count restarts" rather than "kick for touch" or "kick for goal". With the current refereeing they have over complicated the rules whilst diminishing the quality by doubling the number. If they can't improve the consistency of the rulings they can certainly limit the damage.
