Could be something in that. Although surely Hook knew why he was there in the first place? It was just to get something out of Ben Hunt who was struggling big time. Hook accomplished that and Hunt played his best footy since 2018 but it wasn't enough.

I think he exposed himself big time in this stint. Just so many questionable signings, performances and noise coming out of the club.

He never seemed to have respect and from there all the questionable signings specifically of the players that had no interest in being there just festered this culture of not putting in any effort. Blow the club up and start again. I don’t see this one being a success for whatever coach takes it on unless they blow it up, issue with that is usually the fans aren’t patient enough for them to reap the rewards of it.
