think the warriors did penrith a massive favour by being so hard in that game... they've really sealed things up since then

Commentators are creaming themselves at the Broncos scoring 4 pts. Don’t remember getting sucked off when we went 6-18 against them.

Panthers seem to be getting the rub if the green from the refs.

I think their loss vs the Tigers the week before was the catalyst there. The Panthers we played were really gritty and played percentage football. They were desperate to win. I think both Cleary's acknowledged that they needed to be to get the result that night too.

For the record Klein got it wrong IMO. Gee was right in getting that call changed because Walsh not only pushed one player out of the way (illegal), but he then jumped without looking at the ball. Sure he managed to turn around, but his jump wasn't for the ball.

The Storm did it to us all night last week and didn't get penalised once. It happens almost every game and teams just aren't penalised for it...until tonight. If this is the marker in the sand moment and the early jumpers, etc are not going to be looked at, etc I am all for it but I am sick of our team being the first and last ones affected like Patty being sinbinned last week and then the rules changing. Kotoni getting a delayed suspension until after injury and no one else having that happen, etc.

Graham scored a try for Souths a couple weeks back by taking the fullback out completely

no one gets away with it apart from Coates in one game.

This is why people hate the Broncos. Crying that you guys are hard done by has to be the biggest joke in the NRL.

It was clear Walsh took out the player, and the bunker calling Walsh had only eyes for the ball was just bull****.. glad the Ref questioned that decision... Hopefully it'll be scrutinized in media now so that kind of bull**** doesn't happen again and a crack down on players getting away with it

Latrell scored a try for Souths a couple weeks back because Graham came through and cleared Herbie out of it... He was never going for the ball just backed into him and started looking at it near the end
It seems like normal positioning to attempt to compete for the ball.. Can completely understand why the ref disagreed with the bunker... but if you are going to be that technical I'm off to watch the Reds play a game of Yawnion.

His eyes were honed in on the player and jumped into him before turning after the fact. Clear and obvious obstruction, and certainly not "that technical". Granted, there may be other examples that were missed in the past, but doesn't make the call last night wrong.

Although Walsh has the ability to jump with his back to the ball.... spin and catch the ball - it has to be ruled 'eyes for the defender and not the ball'. Otherwise bunkers and refs will be inconsistent in their calls and this allows for too much subjectivity to enter.....and there is enough of that with 6 agains as it is.
