Just watching the game tonight you can clearly see how the game is being ruined by the NRL.
Constant stoppages and players just are too scared to play footy now for fear or making an error or conceding a penalty.

Their own fans have been saying that for 3 years. After our 54-0 win earlier this year they were more than scathing of French as a fullback, not the least reason being that 3 times we pushed him into touch because he just got man handled.

Unless the refs use the sin-bin, penalties against the defensive team on their goal line isn't much of a penalty. It gives the line a chance to re-group and takes away the attacking teams momentum.

Whoever made that decision (and I suspect I know who) should hang their head in shame.

And for the record I never bought that he 'only wanted to play fullback'. Sure it was his preferred position, but he would have played anywhere we put him. Including 5/8 which both he and DCE thought was going to happen in 2016 before he was released.
