Well it all kicks off tonight with the Donkeys at home to the Dragqueens.

Toss of the coin for me but I’ve gone the Queens as I think the Donks have a few late changes throwing their starting lineup into a bit of dissaray and the Queens are usually very good at Lang Park, plus the team most supported in SE QLD other than the Donks are St George.

I’ve been to a few games there when they’ve been playing ( as a corporate guest) and they usually get big numbers, so they can drown out the Donkey cheer squad which are flat anyway ( except if winning well).

Anyway, how about your thoughts on game 1 of the weekend.

I think Dragons always start well and fade...also like Manly, have the forwards to dominate the middle and win it off that.
My Smokey this weekend is the Dogs....Storm will take 4-5 weeks adjusting without Cronk and Slater is out, Dogs will play like a GF imo and Foran will play a good 2 games before limping away the rest of season.

Love it when the Donkeys lose , almost as good as a Manly win!

Absolutely spot on. Graham is a downgrade on Packer, who was very impressive last year. And I think they are going to miss Thompson more than they imagined.

I personally think the dragons pack is better.

With Vaughan, grapham playing more direct, de Belen, Mccinnis.

With the broncos thaiday at hooker. 2 overrated halves. Fullback that's injury prone.

Knowing Hunt doesn't handle pressure very well, and opposing his former team plus the big Dragons crowd will be some pressure, I think that could work against him. I say the Broncos to win, but I could end up with egg on my face
