I was pleasantly surprised to see the crowd figure for Friday night back to "normal." 16500 from memory.

So we have:

- new players and coach
- positive press again
- Matai and Kapow avoiding facing the judiciary
- great surface at Brookvale
- no sign of the Brooky hobo
- AND they've started counting the missing turnstile in the crowd figures again

It's like 2015 was cursed or something.

...but seriously, I was honestly impressed to see a good house at Brooky.

Our home crowd was more than competitive, here are the others in Round 1

Roosters 25,100 (obviously in effect a home game for Souths too)

Eels 17,300

Manly 16,500

Cowboys 15,500

Storm 12,100

Canberra 11,200

Tigers 10,900

Titans 8,300

Lucky to get half that crowd for the next game on a Monday night especially the way the team played
