That was Orfords best game ever! touched the ball only a handful of times and look what happens.
He tends to overplay his hand..
Does anyone get the ****s when on the 3rd and 4th tackles we dont do any set plays or spread the ball wide.. its just another hit up.. and an inside pass to a forward.. then its a dodgy bomb or a grubber.
No creativity......
Yep that is bloody annoying Kaza. The thing we do that normally gets me yelling at the TV is 10m out, and we use the same play 3 times in a row, Ballin sending a flat ball to a front rower who gets covered easily

Front rowers have a part to play in hitting it up close to the line. It draws three defenders in. A quick play the ball should then see their line disorganised and it is there that we stuff up.

Other teams.. on the 3rd and 4th tackle near the try line.. get their backline involved.
I dont remember Matai or Farrar touching the ball much in the last few weeks!
You are correct, Matai is completely down on the form he showed last season, still seeing his dummy half play which is great, but the strong running game he possesses is only sighted every couple of weeks

Not too far from the game today
A few things I think we need to do to make it almost certain that we will win
1. Put some big shots on Willie and Fitzy early. They are the leaders of that side, and if they start going backwards, the rest will follow. Easier said than done though, both have been in good form lately
2. Mitchell Pearce, get up and into his face early on, he is a good player, but at the moment he needs to do it all on his own. Pressure him all night, give him no space to kick, and force him into some options he wouldn't normally take
3. Put pressure on Kenny-Dowell early. He is a rocks or diamonds player, when he is on, he is very good, when off he is horrendous. Hopefully get an early mistake from him to put him off for the night
4. Perrett. Probably 1 of the most under rated in the comp. He does massive work out of dummy half, and also on the kick returns, always seeming to bust the 1st tackle, which gives his forwards more time to get back. A good kick chase on him is crucial
For us, just good, basic, patient footy
Forwards roll it up, kick deep, and smash them. Hold the ball, control our discipline and we win this comfortably. Off in any of those areas, and we give the chooks a sniff, we are in for a long tough night

I am confident as well, but last week I was supremely confident we would put 40 on Souths
