Pre-Game Roosters V Manly [Round 21, 2024]

The bookies give us little hope as well..roosters 8.5 point faves.

Yeh but bookies bizarrely had them favourites last week in Melbourne!

They had them favourites at the start of last season and they scraped into the 8... Rorters always look good on paper and are always favourites...

This is totally a winnable game for us... I have no doubt we can score points on them, it is just a matter of whether we can stop them from stripping us on the edges...

We are sitting fifth and have won four of our last 5 games and averaged 12.5 points against us over that run...

C'mon @Rosko - get on board the positivity train mate cause if you can't have hope at this point then fishing may be a better option...

While chickens deserve to be favourite - I can’t see why we are rank outsiders

Not the easiest of runs home when future games against the Storm , Sharks and Dogs are taken into account .
Even West Tigers can be competitive on their day to a certain point .
Not to say that a Roosters loss would necessarily consign Manly to an out of reach top 4 position but certainly would not help either and then those host of sides either just in or slightly out of the top 8 possibly pushing up also .
Anyway what will be will be but seems if Manly can keep up the pressure on them as they largely managed in the earlier season game and the Manly pack can at least hold their own , may have the attack to get the better of them

Raiders(a), Wahs(h), Tigers(a), Dogs(a), Sharks(h).

Our fate is now in our own hands. The opportunity is there. The question is are we good enough to take it? I'm hoping so.

Tent back is a real boost and they are still without J W H .
Alioai going O K for a while now .
Up the Bully and Toff to be able to really put in as well .
Managed to contain Fifita last week , need a similar result with Crichton and Radley .
Brown to hopefully and effectively get amongst it again , Jake a real mainstay when it matters .
Again , Manly pack just has to hold the line in the genera; sense and you never know with the way the Manly attack has been showing some fairly positive outcomes for a good part of the season now

Roosters and Sharks are the only 2 in the top 4 we have a realistic chance of catching and they both have even easier draws for the remaining games. A loss this week would mean we are relying on one of them to lose at least 2 games while we lose none, not impossible but incredibly unlikely.

I love how our pack has been performing but Radley is their only starting forward that isn't a current origin player. I know the game isn't won on paper but they objectively have the higher rated pack.

How exciting that it is in the team's hands though!!!

We beat both thise sides and we not only make the semis as a top 4 side but we know we f*cking well deserve to be there... not saying we are a better side at full strength BUT we also have wins against riff and drizzle this season...

We could be wading into the semis as a top 4 team and knowing full well that we can beat them all on our day - I FOR ONE AM F*CKING EXCITED!!!

The article was great though... pretty much disproved all the "experts" BS anti-Manly claims...

hopefully we dust up the rorters and Hooper and Gordy are shown up for the flogs that they are....
