What's left to say? The lack of commitment was painfully obvious from our first set with the ball. Wingers hit it up and got belted, Haumole made a decent run to take off some pressure but then we immediately stuffed around with the ball, passed it no one (a Manly specialty tonight), Parker was lucky to clean it up and we kicked from terrible field position. And lo and behold, the Roosters strolled over our line a minute or two later.

There is a horrible lack of leadership all across the park. No one is talking, no one (outside of a young second-rower with a bad mullet) is trying to make a difference. We are being completely dominated with and without the ball again, and we just don't have the desire or ability to make it stop.

Last year I absolutely gave it to the team in the first 4 rounds for being garbage. Tom came back and changed the team.

This year, there is no excuse. Just plane fuking trash. We are flat track bullies, we will beat some lower teams but can’t even go close to the real contenders. We need an enforcer and desperately need a REAL hooker.

Although he was a lazy defender he had much more go forward than Harper, Saab. He just had an x-factor that these guys don’t seem to have any more.

Dragons vs Panthers showed panthers weren’t all that good last week, rather we are actually just that bad. This won’t be a good season…

That's what I suggested all week, and got howled down by the usual suspects. This will make 4 literal floggings in our last 5 starts:

Tonight: Could be anything Roosters 22 - Manly 0 (at present)
Panthers: 28 - Manly 6
Rabbits 36 - Manly 16
Manly 42 - Roosters 6
Storm 40 - Manly 12

In the past 5 games the score is 134 - 76

Not enough intensity to start the match and make a statement to the opposition.
The most baffling thing is the lack of cohesion and disjointed play,they look like they have not trained together in the offseason,hesitant passes/plays and players not sure when they have the ball and the guys around them seem unsure what they will do.

We won’t go anywhere until DCE’s contract is up. Absolutely pathetic excuse of a 1.1 million dollar player, has no idea what he’s doing in attack and wouldn’t even know if he’s our captain or not as his leadership is nonexistent.

He and Des are our biggest issues IMO and until we find a new coach and captain, we won’t be anywhere near the top 8. Can’t rely on Tom having an all time great season anymore.

But a lot of that is down to how Manly manage there game
It’s not happening whether it’s DCE or Croker but it’s just not there

Don't know about beating lower teams. We are the lowest and it isn't going to change any time soon. We won't beat any team at the moment. I'd back a few NSW cup teams to towel us up too.
