Another high profile Australian has sadly passed away today.

Ross Higgins, most famous for his portrayal of Edward Melba "Ted" Bullpit in the Channel 7 sitcom Kingswood Country has passed away at the age of 85.

14 June 1931 — 7 October 2016.

after reading this yesterday i grabbed my dvd of 'best of kingswood country' dvd and watched a few episodes,
classic line from 1st episode:
"you're not taking the kingswood, i've just shampooed the battery"

That was the (often overlooked) point of the show. You're supposed to laugh at people like Ted. Loved him in the naked vicar shows too!

I have the DVD too. Bought it to show to the kids that the world used to be a different place and a lot more harmless fun was allowed before everyone started suing everyone because someone needed a tissue about something.
