If he is a halfback then what makes some of you think he would be willing to change his position and stick his head in a scrum? If he has the talent that some of you say he has then I can't see him agreeing to play hooker just to stay with us.

Talented halfbacks are a rare commodity. Manly will need to decide who they want at halfback rather than them dictating to Riccardi what position he should play. It's a nice position to be in until we have to let someone go.

Monas was at a crossroads. He had been playing FG for a while. Besides, how many offers did he get from other clubs to be their number 7? If Riccardi is as talented as people on here are saying then other clubs will be knocking the door down to get him as a halfback - not a hooker, and not a 5/8.

If he has spent most of his playing career developing into a talented halfback he'll get a gig at halback in first grade at any number of clubs.
