I think the answer lies somewhere in between.

Sure, it would be nice to be a bit higher on the ladder, but we control our own destiny.  If we are going to be a force in the finals we need to start firing and winning games now anyway, whether we are coming 1st or 8th or anywhere in between.

I'm pretty comfortable with where we are on the ladder.
