Refs on the take?

I sent this tweet to Greenturd yesterday. I was polite and didn't use foul language, just asked a simple question. Not that I expect an answer of course.

"@Todd_Greenberg how on earth can the @NRL continue to justify the very poor standard of refereeing that is driving more and more fans away from the game?"

Like I said, I don't expect an answer. Greenturd and the NRL continue to tweet and tweet and tweet about how wonderful things are, even tweeting blatant referee/bunker mistakes and calling them great plays (e.g. Scott's forward pass and that Chooks try against the Tits). But very rarely, if ever, do they actually answer questions from fans. Its a propaganda machine that the Nazi's would have been proud to call their own.
Did he block you ??????

Melbourne are actually a prime example of NRL agenda.

There is no way known that the NRL will ever allow the Storm to be an also-ran. They hate he thought of them being bottom 8 and have kittens at the thought of them ever being bottom 4. They are the only NRL club located in what is AFL territory and the fact is that from the start, they have pushed for them to be successful.

Is the game growing in Victoria as a result of the Storm? The Victorian league is as piss poor now as it was when they started in 1998. There has been little to no improvement in the standard of players there and there won't be any while the league continue to allow Melbourne to have areas of Qld as their feeders.

Not yet.

Anyone know why Andrew McCullough can punch and get a contrary conduct fine but Api Korisau can punch and get a grade 1 striking and miss a week?....

Think the match review committee might be on the take also....

Because Brisbane is a lucrative market for the NRL, whereas the northern beaches are not?

Watching the incident maguire's punch/swinging arm was more akin to what Api got busted for, however maguire didn't even get mentioned by anyone regarding the incident

WTF McCulloch thew a few punches Api threw one I thought that was barely a slap!

Just for clarification, Bernard Sutton has backed the decision not to rule the pass from Curtis Scott forward. Comical stuff:

@Stevezemek : Sutton also says * The offside ruling against Joel Thompson was correct * He backed his officials that they made the right call on forward pass in lead up to Poasa Faamausili and Suliasi Vunivalu tries.

I would have been shocked if they had admitted an error on their part - it's not their go!

Did he explained why the forward pass was not forward?
Did he explain why the accidental offside ruling was correct?
I've only been watching RL for 59 years so I'm a newcomer to this sport so I need clarification on both rulings.

Well the funny thing is he admitted the bunker got the O'Sullivan try for the Roosters wrong - why he didn't also come out and take blame for a clear forward pass as well I have absolutely no idea. They just look foolish to back the call.

Here you go mate, fresh from the NRL:

The NRL's words: "The passes leading up to tries by ... Suliasi Vunivalu were judgement calls made in real time with the officials in good position to rule."

Yes, NRL, we know. So why did they rule in such a ****ed fashion? Maybe they need investigating?

They're all covered under the NRL's new make up the rules as you go rule.

Do we seriously think he was going to admit they stuffed up.

I think Toddy is working on a sponsorship deal with SpecSavers for the refs and touchies ?????

I know a guy who knows Chris Sutton well. When he (Sutton) was a touchie he used to say that they were scared to make decisions because they’d get demoted if they got something wrong, so they realised they were better off just saying they couldn’t see something (ie a forward pass).

Now he’s a main ref (he’s come from the clouds to be a main ref, coincidentally at the same time as his big brother became the Ref’s boss), he’s made a few horrible decisions on Saturday, but big brother is telling everyone his decisions were fine. Nothing like a bit of nepotism in the ranks.

Harrigan said the same thing on Fox after the forward pass fiasco on Saturday.

Rothfield asked him why the touchie didn't call it and his reply was "I don't know as that's his job to rule on things like that".
What !!! Did you even get what he was on about ?
If you don't agree with Harrigans solution to stop teams from scoring off forward passes your agreeing to the status quo.
It's true what he said it is t he touchies job to pick up forward passes, obviously making the point that it's not working.
