Recruit options - Big & Small ??

Jade will be 22 next season, and will have had a few years in both NYC and NSW Cup. I'd be happy for him to grab a wing spot.
The club are stating he has Josh Addo-Carr (who, by the way made his debut at 20) speed. Outside of Sironen & Walker, he'd
dominate in my opinion.

Then get Kane Elgey.

01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Jorge Taufua
03. Brian Kelly
04. Dylan Walker
05. Jade Anderson
06. Kane Elgey
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
08. Addin Fonua-Blake
09. Apisai Koroisou
10. Marty Taupau
11. Joel Thompson
12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Manase Fainu
15. Kelepi Tanginoa
16. Taniela Paseka
17.

@Ryan ... agree with Anderson .... think he is just a few kilo's light this year .... gets monstered a bit in reggies .... a few kilos and a bit of strength over the break should see him challenge for a spot ....

But we're discussing 2019. A lot can happen over the of season as had been often seen
I am well aware, and still stand by my opinion. He would need a massive pre season if he were to walk into the starting lineup round 1. I cant see it happening. Hope he proves me wrong

Backline is the worst in the NRL, forwards are good but need some fine-tuning and light changes. If you could get Oates for back-row great, even better if he's willing for wing but no hope for the latter.

Good thinking mate. A proven winner. Experienced, but still very young.

I can't see us signing anyone to be honest.

There is the cap issue to consider, the appeal of which, will be rejected in the coming days.
I think that it will only be players with no other offers that would consider coming right now.

It pains me to say it but we are a basket case right now. The front office better get their house in order and soon too.

Backline is far from the worst in the NRL. T Trbojevic, Taufua, Walker, Kelly and Cherry-Evans are pretty darn good players. This backline was the same one that was sitting top 4 last year at points minus Green and Uate.

This Corey Oates can bust defensive lines more than most and is a little quicker in the open than I gave him credit for....personally like him on the wing - this backrow spot he wants is a different workrate and unsure on tackling and making good defensive reads 3 & 4 off the ruck.
At the right price would have him on the wing which a spot is 10% needed.

French wants out at Eels and forget his lacklustre 2018 - can score a try and has massive speed.
Depending on the price a consideration also...will cop flack, but after he hits 15 tries the fans would be happy to have that bloke who gets into space and does the road runner....

Also be great to land another forward - maybe vulture the struggling Dogs with either a Klemmer/Jackson would be nice.....heck I'd take that young backrower who kicks goals for them too!!

Hard knowing the cap situation and what can be spent, but being realistic - who are the best targets ?
As always @maxta you bring great food for thought.

Kane Elgey.....surely you're not serious Ryan. He can't cut it in Qcup. He is as useless as they come. (just my opinion).

He looks stronger than Josh Addo Carr & look how he gets on in the Storm team!

Barrett has already earmarked Anderson for a big future. I wish he had decided that when he chose his 30 for this year. Anderson should make an exciting wingman and great cover for Turbo

Outside Walker, he'd be devastating. Speed to burn from both.

What is this 'hardon' for Corey Oats??? He's not the answer to what we need. The players we have are not the issue. We have a good core of players......like Holmsey said most of the current players were in the team sitting top 4 last year until the wheels fell off for some reason. The same reason we're struggling this year. I don't think any of us really know what that reason is. We're all blaming the coaches & the players, yet when the team clicks we can beat anyone! Trying to buy ourselves out of the rut we're in is not gonna work. Something is obviously amiss here & until that problem is found or rectified or whatever it will stay the same. This team needs a Ben Kennedy type of leader. I don't think we have that right now. Many will say Jake T is a leader but at this stage of his career i don't think he is the answer. We need an old hard head that can motivate these guys when we're down & rally them to have one last dig. Ben Kennedy & Steven Price were that type of leader...........Wow have i gone off on a tangent or what!
