Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles INJURY UPDATE: David Wolfman Williams will miss this weeks match against the Penrith Panthers with a hamstring injury. To replace him will either be Michael Oldfield or Will Hopoate

Injury Update after Round 19
19/07/2011 11:31:16 AM
David Williams is set to miss this week's game against the Penrith Panthers with a hamstring injury.

The Wolfman suffered the injury against the Knights on Sunday. His spot will be filled by either current young gun Michael Oldfield or returning superstar Will Hopoate.

Anthony Watmough is recovering from bruising to his shoulder after leaving the field early in Round 19. He should be right to play this Sunday.

Jason King is also set to return after recovering from a leg injury.

The Sea Eagles play the Penrith Panthers on Sunday.

I'm going! Hopefully with the rest of the family.

Never been to Penrith before, does anyone know where most of the Manly fans will be situated?

Should I pre-book tickets or just rock up?

Oh and how's the parking?

Thanks.

Manly fans are usually on the south eatern corner in the GA area.

Parking is decent across the road at panthers leagues but unsure how it fills up close to the game as im usually there an hour or more early

Panthers: 1. Lachlan Coote 2. David Simmons 3. Michael Jennings 4. Brad Tighe 5. Adrian Purtell 6. Travis Burns 7. Luke Walsh 8. Sam Mckendry 9. Kevin Kingston 10. Petero Civoniceva 11. Trent Waterhouse 12. Nigel Plum 13. Luke Lewis

Beware the bomb!! The Seaeagles defence will be tested mainly in the air this w/end imo & tha Penrith f/back Coote is an aireal specialist. Need plenty of protection for the back 3 in this game.

Hmm Wolfman to miss the game with a hamstring injury, he probably wont get back into the side after this.

Another phantom injury strikes for Wolfman, opens the way for Hoppa to come back in. Robbo, Snake & Hoppa are about as safe a back three as you can get in regards to defending against aerial attacks so we are well set there, hopefully the wind stays down otherwise that could cause some problems.

Suprised to see Luke Lewis named, bad news for us.

I was surprised too, his injury looked a bad one but he has a similar toughness to Choc, he just recovers well and plays through the pain!

If Hoppa is back we have all Arial attacks covered :D Hoppa>Coote in the air.

Just because Lewis and Plum are named doesn't mean they'll be fit to play. Coaches just name-and-hope on a Tuesday. We do it.

Game is a good test for us-Panthers are playing some confident footy at the moment, however like the Sharks last night-they will be brought back to earth with a great thud. Manly to be too professional, fit and well drilled for this mob.

Bugger, still no T-Rex.

At least we have the Kingdog back.

Parking at Panthers shouldn't be a problem at all.
Shouldnt be a problem if you are early enough. Those who haven't been to Penrith since the last time Manly played there, Panthers club has undergone pretty big renovations which crept forward into the old carpark area a bit and the parking spaces are a little reduced (they may have made up for this elsewhere, not sure i drive past every day but never venture in there).

There is plenty of street parking though with no more than 5-10 minutes walk from the stadium, so you shouldn't run into any problems. Also the carpark in the shopping centre across the road which many would have parked in in the past, recently has changed to enforce 3 hour limits, so if you are in their for both games, probably avoid parking in the shopping centre.

or if you train it, it's a 10-15 minute straight walk from the station.

can't wait, love it when the boys come to my town, always a really healthy manly contingent out this way, there's been a couple of times i could swear there were more manly fans than penrith fans at the game, penrith crowds are rather quiet for a bunch of bogans. too busy in the beer lines i guess to care about the game.

Weather looks like it'll be cold overcast, 50% chance of rain, mod/fresh ESE wind.... really typical cold mid winter sunday afternoon footie weather

Good to have T Rex wound up and ready to spring from next week onwards if 100% fit.

Wonder if Dessie will give Foran and DCE a week off leading up to the finals series? Obviously not both together.....
