That's not to say that Marty and AFB weren't great. But these 3 guys really played above themselves.

Cust is a good ‘un. Really like his desire to run and create something from nothing. I like how he combines with Croker too. Plus he is taking some of the pressure off DCE with the kicking, as did Danny Levi Strauss on occasion. Levi is another player who is fitting in nicely.

Cust’s looks remind me a bit of a fusion of Dennis Ward and Ed Whiley, with some (dare I say it) Craig Field thrown in.

He reminds me a bit like Ian Martin (4 x premiership winner) 1969 - 1978.

Same nuggety build, just as likely to bump you off as run around you.

I "d think more of a Michael Monaghan type player bearing in mind also that Monas played quite a bit at 9 as well . ian martin even though he was a solid 5 / 8 also played a good part of his latter Manly career at lock and would be surprised if Cust will have any future role as a middle 13

If he's anywhere near as good as Ima Martian then I'll be delighted.
Ima was one of the most punishing tacklers of his generation. Mind you, that was in the days when you tackled one-on-one around the legs.
