I used to love Soccer (and it's bl**dy soccer not football, it annoys me how we have to pretend we are hip and have to keep up with Europe etc), and back in the 80/90s the games were just an excuse for a race riot. Every NSL team was of a particular ethnicity and a diehard percentage of those fans just used the soccer as an excuse for a fight. The media back then was particularly savage on the soccer hooligans, but in recent times it has cleaned up enormously, however there does seem to be some of these bad old elements creeping back in. Which is a shame. Soccer is a beautiful game, but too many d***heads just use it as an excuse to create trouble. I played for Sydney Uni back many years ago (they were low level, Division 4 or something), and every week we'd play teams and have trouble. One game we played against Liverpool Angels the game was abandoned as they had too many players sent off so the game couldn't continue!

As for Rebecca Wilson, she is just a tool. Her crusade against Snake was just a complete disgrace.

But that's not what this is about. We've complained about Bourbon Beccy and her biased reporting for years and done bugger all about it, yet these guys jump on the front foot the week after she tried to drag them through the mud. To me, that's very interesting. Why haven't we, or any other NRL club for that matter had the guts, or brains, to give it back to her publicly?

I too found it very interesting that a journalist was attacked in this manner. I have never seen it before in any sport. This is why I raised the issue. Will it catch on when Wilson bags the a Dogs or Manly this year. Will Weidlers articles be used against him by SBW opposition.
I say good on the RBB for sticking up for themselves and club.
