It’s like Tom has said f$&@ it, I’m just blasting out at 100% and if I get injured so be it. No more half paced crap. Whether true or not, I for one prefer this approach from Tommy.

That said with our f/a being irrelevant now, if I were siebs id be replacing guys when the game is gone. Tom, Dce and jake could have had a 10-15 minute spell at the end yesterday. All helps in lead up to the finals.
Totally agree Waz, Seib's gota starting thinking smart now, and he needs to start subbing our star players when the games in the bag. By next game everyone's available bar Koula, good times ahead.

I was at the game and was worried when he appeared to hurt his shoulder scoring, but those concerns evaporated when he took a back fence brownie hit up on their line. He seriously ran full tilt from the back fence. He may have lost some pace from his numerous hammy problems however the bloke is a superstar footballer. He has such serious footy IQ. His defence yesterday was oustanding.
When Turbo is on at 100% he's the best player in the game. It's just such a shame so many injuries have cruelled seeing him like that. Geez if he can keep it together then he could carry us to the top much like he did in 2021.

I'd like to add, after watching the replay in HD, that if I was the ref I too wouldn't have sent the raiders 'kick' upstairs to check - the one before halftime when the bunker somehow said he kicked it, but the whistle blew so sucks to be green.

I think it was a Captains challenge, but if the bunker thinks that was a deliberate kicking motion as opposed to just reflex throwing your foot out, then they are bigger boofheads than I thought.

If so, that guy should be made to kick every ball, bending over, with his hand 10 centimetres from the ball.

sheesh

I like your positivity mickqld, that hit up on the faders Goal line was proof he's starting to trust his body now. And the scary part, he can only get better with every game he plays.

Even Mal Meninga said you can't blame the ref for that call but Atkins really should have let it go to try then call upstairs as no try.

Good win considering the overall context of the match and some of the Manly attack individually and with general plays was naturally right up there .
Raiders looked like intentionally trying some annoying spoiling tactics early on , Manly a bit out of sorts and noticeably defensively and discipline wise and fortunate only some individual brilliance getting Manly ahead at half time .
Picked up for the majority of the 2 nd half to asset some real authority ,[ even taking into account the Tapine sin bin ] then just a bit off towards the end again .
Not too sure how much improvement is needed to reach some definite title contention , probably not that much and fair to say , the side should be more then capable of producing it with a clean bill of health and the best side available .
Brookes and Turbo quite dynamic and good to see Turbo so motivated . Lehi continues to really impress , Bully as well . Looks like Paseka can finish the season really well
Gordy looks like best suited as bench 9 , Froggy to start but any problems then Simpkin .
Would still advocate Koula [ when fully fit again ] back as a centre with Garrick and still would have started Sipley ahead of Brown . Those wider spreads with Garrick on one side , Koula on the other, not easy to defend against for any opposition
More then a fair case to have Talau in the mix but just like the Lodge matter , will have to be judged on the merits in coming weeks .
Not too sure what the go was with Daly in the ist half , thought he may have been injured but pretty good try in the 2 nd half along with some much more helpful involvement so really does not matter in the final washup

He never kicked at it. He was reaching down to collect it and that combined with the running stride resulted in it being toed ahead accidentally. Never a kicking motion imo.

Yep well put @manly al.

Similar to the broncs last year, I actually think we can take some positives away with injury and suspension this year in the context it has given players a bit of a rest which will serve us well at the back end, as well as providing opportunities for others. Look at Turbo and Paseka, both seem to be hitting peak form at the right time. Koula will be back firing as well.

Only point I’m not sure on is the Croker Gordie bit. Thought Sinpkins service provides more time for our attack than the other two. Thought early yesterday we were a bit clunky due to Frog service and again late. Been in the uk so missed the three games prior to yesterday so perhaps Simpkin form has been down. I’m sure Frog will improve but his service has never been his strong suit. I actually like the suggestion of him at 13 and Jake back to prop.

Agree re Brown to the bench - feel he adds more from there.

Tremendous respect for Froggy and what he has achieved in recent seasons but in all seriousness, just could not see him making a real go of any position bar 9 at i st grade level But again just my opinion .
Simpkin seemed to go quite well at different stages [ when you were away ] other times a bit patchy, especially against the Roosters but still some good and tidy 9 skills when he has had his better moments
Does not look too good being part of the Blacktown performances recently and defensively wise [ not sure what is going on there with good earlier season form for the most part from the side ']
Need Alioai at his best , not out of the question but doubt if Lodge can make some improved impact for i st grade
Hope you enjoyed your trip and some of the unsettled street scenes over there

Sorry , meant to say , not affected by some of the street goings on

He more stuck his toe out rather than kick the ball.

If that saves a dropped ball being a knock on, so be it
Agree it was hardly a kick, personally I think it was a fair call all round especially given the **** pass from Young and the dropping of the pill
