That is the golden question.

I am thinking if its $500 - $1000 (which doesn't go far these days) maybe a gold membership of $50 or $100 open to 10 members, could include entry into tipping comp and a special badge (if recognition is sought).

I am trying to come up with ideas that require little to no effort.

Probably closer to $12,000 to $15,000 per year @bob dylan Dan mentions the ad revenue (plus other income eg Premium, Tipping Comp would average out at $1200 per month

This has the potential to uplift revenue to $1200 month, the uplift in fees to make that ground up would be too high

I think a pay to post membership, plus premium, and sponsorship tiers could also achieve that average monthly revenue target.

It works at an out of pocket expense for me not accounting for my time to do all the things that keep the lights on.

I run it at a low cost which ends up being more work for me. I spend about 8 hours a week on various maintenance and server tasks and I can’t do it without the help of the mod team who are the real stars of the show here.

Id love to offer people compensation and I’d also never ask more of the members than see some ads. Ads I feel are pretty harmless and passive and easily ignored. I run the site with ads personally without premium membership because I’m not asking anyone to do anything I won’t.

I’m not the sort of person that asks for help easily or asks in general and I don’t expect hand outs. That’s not the goal here. The goal is to make a viable product that people e joy and love and want to be a part of and that I can offer to you.

The product right now is not at a point where I can ask for monthly subscription but what I want from you all is the help to make it that. Make it awesome again get around it it and grow it then we can figure out the rest
