When you are desperate!!
I drove through Wilcannia in December 2015 coming back from Broken Hill on the way to Dubbo. All I remember about Wilcannia is that that cafe was off the main road and there was only one person in town around 2pm that day and it was a blackfella.
Really like Broken Hill - felt like I was back in 1970.

Here's a pic of the dead centre of Wilcannia.

Now.... isn't there some finals coming up?!?!?!?!? lol

No harm in asking I guess, but I bet the Dalai is confused why Qantas won't change their scheduling plans for the mighty mighty eels, heroes of the west.

Qantas has rejected a request from the Parramatta Eels to delay the last flight out of Melbourne on Saturday night in a bid to return home straight after their semi-final against the Storm at AAMI Park.

How many people do you have on your research staff?

Don't they play at 4pm

Parra could be on the plane by 9pm easy :wondering:

Anyone having trouble with ticketek? Trying to buy a few cheap tickets as I've got mates coming from interstate and it's saying cat 3 is exhausted as well as everything else

I just selected the Manly Supporters Bay and that is sold out.
Ticketek may increase the allocations later, but its not important

Just choose Cat3 and there are plenty of seats - you can walk across to the Manly Bays when you are in the ground

I think the sacrifice ritual for the almighty Dalai takes some time not to mention Corey Norman's usual bar hops and gangster hangout at Casinos so i can understand their concern
I was going to post that Parra should just skip Crown on the way to the airport.
Then they do not have to divert any aircraft 😛

I'm in Wilcannia at present, restocking after a week of dust, flies and a few fish ( sadly none big enough to keep and eat).

My Sat dish system let me down on Saturday night , be buggered if I could get it to connect ( I'll have to invest in an automated system).

But did manage to listen to the game on a very scratchy ABC radio station that faded in and out.

As to where I'll be on Saturday, Menindee Lakes, probably no signal again but hopefully Sat reception this time.

Just fantastic that we are back in the finals , totally unexpected by me, but incredibly happy.

Sadly, and ironical that we play my now quite sick son in laws Panthers, naturally I hope we win , but if we lose I hope they go all the way as this will probably be his last time seeing them.

So despite being absent on the forum for a fair bit of last week and this you'll know I'm there in spirit!!

Go Manly!

They say the last flight is at 8pm.

Also from the artimacull....:

The match at AAMI Park is scheduled to kick off at 4.10pm and estimated to finish at about 6pm. The Eels will also have to fulfil their post-match media press conference and are unlikely to be able to leave the precinct until around 6.45pm.

With the match expected to be a sell-out, heavy traffic is expected to delay their 28-kilometre bus ride to the airport.

Anyway...good on ya Qantas!

Sydney Airport also has a curfew on flights landing or departing between 11 PM and 6 AM. Doesn't matter to the Dalai though! Him and his team are more important than any old state regulation.
