I knew it would happen, but of all things the one thing I simply can not understand is how Croker is still named to start at hooker.

Surely even Des saw the night and day difference between Croker and Cust at dummy half last week.

Honest question but does anybody here actually think Croker has any upsides to his game that helps the team? Even supporters of other teams see how **** Croker is and are confused how he starts every week.
At this point I'm thinking Des is taking the piss and waiting for that 1st win to say I told you so!

According to the Croker Poll that ran here, 62.4% of us thought he would either have a breakout year/egg on some faces (although thankfully that number was only 9%) or do "an adequate tradesman's job". I ticked the "Will perform poorly" box. Given a second opportunity, I'd tick it seven times over.

It's obvious that Des is going to persist with him, so the best we can hope for is that Croker gets less time and that Cust is given a proper shot at the job.

And I wasn't having a go at you, I was just putting my case forward that I think both of our centres this year have been a downright failure.

I hate to admit it but I was one who ticked the do an adequate tradesman's job.

I hate being wrong, but I was this time. Croker as a dummy half wouldn't get a run with the South Aussie state side ... and any of the U/15's teams on the Northern Beaches could beat that lot.

Froggy is a 5/8 so in his early career he had some attacking skill.
I'm not sure if all his injuries have curtailed his speed and flair but he is not showing it as hooker, simply tackling and passing. You would think that a former 5/8 would have a few runs occasionally, like Cook, but not Froggy. He must be under instructions and doing the job DESpicable wants or else he wouldn't be continually selected.
And if this is the criteria DESpicable uses to pick his team then HELLO 40-Nil again.

Never said or even thought this before, but seeing this team list (Croker being a real bugbear) if we don't win, I hope we get absolutely smashed. Only thing I can think might move Dinosaur Des to either change the team or change jobs.
So over it.

Trying to remember I was at that game at Bluetongue stadium. I remember young hoppa was getting smashed either at centre or wing. I did have a few beers at the Gossy hotel before the game and few more at the game, so a bit cloudy the memory on that one.

I know one of their centres got 4 tries

This is TRAGIC.
I've been a fan for more than 50 years, was a club sponsor for 5 years. This the very first time I'm ashamed of our club, the coached inability to want to change something that is bad, the lack of accountability for players and management of the club.
Des had an opportunity to make a mark on the sand for this team and teams for years ahead. No instead the accepted behaviour is rewarding poor performance. What a legacy to leave behind.

And you have to ask yourself why ?

Not me I said he was **** from day 1, and now he’s worse he’s “ absolutely ****ing ****”.
