PRE GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Broncos Round 5, 2020.

We are weaker with those 2 outs but should still be good enough to beat Brisbane, especially with some of their best players still out.

So whats the story with this then, posted '5 hours ago' on club site.
Everyone is fine
Maybe the changes are not due to injury?

We still have them well covered but I’m amazed at how little credit Sirro gets. He’s head and shoulders our best backrower and our win rate with him not playing is not great from memory Waddell is solid but not in the same postcode as Sirro.Jorge a loss too.

Not sure which winger is marking Coates but they need to be on their game. Haven’t seen a more likely young three quarter than him up here for years. They will kick to his corner all night and he can pluck it from nowhere. He destroyed our young Manly blokes when they had that national play off In the 18s.

Jetski on that right edge in place of Siro would be good. Waddell to bench. Duck mainly played left edge last year when Thommo was out and Jetski covered Siro on the right - he looked good in the finals running with DCE

Missy Elliot - well I hope it's not one of his rag doll games. We'll miss Horhay's punch coming out of our end, Sandwich and Missy can't dent a line let alone bend one. Both of them must average negative meters on kick return and hit ups.

I think JetSki might be a bit underdone. Hasn’t played since last year, hence would be best coming off the bench.

Silver lining for Elliot is, safe under the high ball and has deceptive strength and footwork.

Has the club confirmed this? What’s the source?

Sea Eagles v Broncos, Thursday 7.50pm at Central Coast Stadium
Sea Eagles: Manly have made two changes after last week's narrow loss to Parramatta at Bankwest Stadium. Jorge Taufua and Curtis Sironen were not named when coach Des Hasler trimmed his squad to 19 players on Wednesday night.

Sironen picked up a knee injury in the clash with the Eels. Jack Gosiewski moves onto the interchange and Corey Waddell goes into the second row. Brendan Elliot has been elevated from the reserves to start on the wing.

If Siro stays fit he will be pushing for origin selection

Sirro gives us a point of difference. Runs hard enough but has skills both at the line and after bending it. He will be missed.
Jorge in recent seasons has been missd in win loss ratio also despite what anyone says about his game

No wait...

It's Elliot... because Elliott Gould played a character called Reuben in Oceans 11! *

*author may be taking the piss out of people who give players their own rarely used nicknames that no one else knows about. Totally not annoying. May not be relevant in this particular case.

If you were to read the press this week, this game is all about the Donkeys and their adnauseum failure since their last premiership.

They infer that the Donkeys will be more motivated and are primed for an upset and the words from their so called leaders that we wont be beaten like that again.

Brisbane for me epitomize a team that has a culture of indulgence. They are fated in their one team town. They live off their history which from their inception was nearly a Queensland state team in disguise as a club one.

They get the pick of the Queensland juniors, have more sponsorship and money down to their News Filth links. Have a world class stadium at their disposal and they dare to whinge about how inexperienced they are, how hard done by they are.

The Donkeys are their own worst enemies, squandering the huge advantage they have over every club. Crap recruitment, bending the rules on discipline. How on earth Lodge is playing? Well Greenturd looked him in the eye lol.

I truly hope Manly put them to the sword tonight. We are down a few troops in Sirro and Jorge and that does hamper us. I think if Manly play fast we will win comfortably. I just hope we are not stitched up by officials who want the Donkeys to shine.

Last weeks loss was unforgiveable by the officials when the world knew the truth and they got it badly wrong and our club was denied a famous win. I just hope that we dont suffer a lull after that as it was such an intense match.

I think that Manly might start a bit slow and warm into the game tonight, this is a game where DCE must take control, not give them a sniff as their pride is damaged and they will want to atone.

Never forget what the Donkeys represent, News filth greed, I am an old traditionalist I know but I really hope we wallop them tonight!
